Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

1 – I really enjoyed this coastal kitchen and bathroom renovation tour via Rue Magazine, designed by Weeth Home. I wish they would have included the before photos, but the end result is all so beautiful! All of the cabinetry is stunning! Click the “Start Slideshow” button to see all of the images. You can also find a couple more images here.

2 – If you have an upcoming warm-weather trip planned, there are so many cute resort wear finds at J. Crew Factory right now! I was also so happy to see that they brought back the gauze coverup I got so much use out of last year! I now have my eyes set on this one. I love that most of their coverups are so much longer in the back!

And if you prefer warmer tones, I’m loving all of these bright pink finds!

3 – I’ve been a long-time fan of designer handbags, but I’m the person that once I buy one, I carry the same bag every day for years. Which means, for the most part, I’ve always stuck with “safe” picks that are classic and I know will last for years (if not decades) to come. So when Vivrelle reached out to offer me a month free of their designer bag (and jewelry) borrowing program, I was super intrigued! Kurtis was like “this sounds like it was invented just for you.” Ha! The best part is Vivrelle is offering my readers their first month free of borrowing designer bags and jewelry with my code LIFEONVIRGINIASTREET (requires 3 month membership, so you only pay for 2 months). Their selection of designer bags and jewelry you can borrow is stunning! You can see how it works here, but you essentially pick one of the plans (I chose Couture because that’s the tier many of the bags I was drawn to were in) and then you can pick your bag right away! I also love the feature where you can save favorites, and if it is out of stock, they’ll email you as soon as it’s available again!
We have some fun trips coming up and so I already plan to continue my membership based on the experience I’ve had so far! It’s also a great way to test if you actually like a particular designer bag before investing in one (you can also purchase theirs if you fall in love with one). For my first month, I wanted something colorful and bold for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. I’ve also always been intrigued by Hermes (but don’t think I’m patient enough to ever be a customer of their bags), so I selected this Hermes Picotin Lock 22 Bag. I’ll basically carry it now until we return from Hawaii and then select another option!
Here are some of the other bags I considered. Since I had Hawaii on my mind, I focused on searches that contained raffia and blue bags. But their inventory is huge! Tap any of the images below for more details on each item. They’re a mix of Classique and Couture selections so you can see what’s available with both types of memberships.
4 – This image was featured in a recent McGee & Co. email ad I received and it stopped me in my scroll immediately. It looks so much like some of the 3D renderings I’ve been making for our future carriage house dining nook! The overall vibe is a bit more cottage-y here, but I’m hyperfocused on having a banquette (you can read more about that here) and our layout would be almost identical to what you see below! When it warms up a bit here, I need to go over and tape everything out on the floor to ensure it will truly all work but I’m pretty set on it! You can find the McGee and Co. banquette pieces here. I’ve also been looking at this option that can be customized in a number of ways. I already have a bunch of samples in hand to test out!

5 – It turns out age 45 is the age where I could no longer deny I need readers. I’m officially that person now that goes to a restaurant and can’t see the menu without holding it with my arms fully extended away from me. And don’t get me started if the restaurant is dimly lit! I’ve had 20/20 vision my whole life, but I’m very fortunate considering both my parents and younger brother needed glasses (not just readers) well before they turned 40. I tried drug store readers for a bit, but I have a large head so a lot of frames aren’t comfortable. And I hate looking through cheap lenses – I feel like they make me a bit cross-eyed. I love that Warby Parker has a tool where you can virtually “try-on” their frames. Ones I thought would be so cute were horrible on me. Ha! You then load your prescription or select readers, blue-light, etc.I ultimately selected this pair (it looks like my exact color is out of stock currently) but they fit so comfortably! I also add the blue-light filtering so I can wear them at my computer and when I use my phone. Here’s an awkward selfie from yesterday for your viewing pleasure!
Here are some of the other frames I virtually “tried-on”. All sources are listed below the graphic.

45 is THE magic number for bifocals.
have fun in Hawaii
Will you please post some Hawaii pics? Which island? My husband and I go to Maui every year and we fall more in love with it each time.
Have fun!!
Yes, I definitely will, and will try and do some stories while we’re there! We’re going to the Big Island for the first time. We’ve been to Maui, Kauai, Lanai (and I’ve been to Oahu) so we’re really excited to check out a new one!
You look so cute in glasses! I remember seeing people in reading glasses and thinking how cute they looked. When my time came I was not as enthusiastic. Lol. Love your site and glad you are still blogging!
Haha! I’ve always felt the same way. They look so cute on everyone else but never felt they did on me, so I appreciate that!
