Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

1 – This is a really pretty (and massive) home tour with lake views in the Chicago area. It’s always fun to see fabrics I’ve used before in our home in other settings with a different style!

2 – I bought this soft-wash utility shirt from Banana Republic over lunch yesterday. They were offering 40% off your purchase and I love the color and longer, structured fit of the shirt (I felt like it was a lot cuter on that on the model in this picture). It is heavy than a typical button up – more like your favorite canvas jacket, but more fitted. It also came in an olive/seaweed color that I loved as well. I think it will be great alone or for layering in fall!

3 – I talk a lot about throw pillows around here, and as you know, I make most of mine following this tutorial. But, I also realize many of you don’t sew (or don’t want to). I saw this black and white buffalo check pillow cover on Etsy recently and knew it was one I had to share! Not only is it perfect for fall, it comes in at a really great pricepoint!

4 – I know a few of you were disappointed I got my curtain panels at HomeGoods and eBay for our recent dining room makeover because you weren’t able to find them. This medallion curtain panel would give you a very similar look, it comes in two lengths (and two colors), and is currently by one get one 40% off (and the original price is already great!

5 – I’ve been a long time reader and follower of Jenna Sue Design. Her world was recently flipped upside down and she decided to start traveling the world. I think it was a shock to her readers (me included), but I find myself anxiously awaiting her updates as she currently explores Asia. This post on Koh Tao had me mesmerized. To be honest, there are many days my husband and I dream of leaving corporate America to live a simpler life (perhaps on an island somewhere). Is it likely? Not really. Jenna Sue’s posts definitely pull on my heartstrings though, and make me long for that life. I admire her sense of adventure and strength as she pursues a new life. Not all who wander are lost.

Lastly, a few reminders. If you haven’t entered the trip to NYC giveaway, be sure to do so (more details at the end of this post). Secondly, be sure to check out the fall home tours that launched Tuesday and Wednesday. You can find the full list of home tours in my fall home tour post.

If you would like to follow along on more of my home decor, DIY, lifestyle, travel and other posts, I’d love to have you follow me on any of the following:

I will miss Jenna’s home blog so much- she was quickly becoming one of my favs- but I am also enjoying following her travel (much more than I thought I would since I followed her for DIY stuff), and wishing her the best in her personal journey. Also saw that same pillow on etsy! I’d better snap mine up before they’re gone!
