Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

– Two of my favorite styles are beach house and English cottage, so it was fun to see how designer Liz Caan combined the two in this Cape Cod beach house! The kitchen (don’t scroll by without noticing that see-through hutch!!) and bedroom below are my favorite spaces, but it makes for a really fun tour. Just scroll down a bit to where it says to view the gallery.

– I’m loving so many of the new arrivals over at J. Crew. It’s a great mix of late summer and early fall styles. It’s also a great time to scoop up some of their popular sweaters in cotton (like this one and this one) before there becomes a lot more with wool if you aren’t a wool fan! Currently, Passport members (it’s free to join!) can get 40% off many full-priced items at checkout (login to receive and then check the box on the right side to apply discount) in honor of the first birthday of the Passport program!

– My friend Kelley Nan introduced me to these fly traps and they have been a game-changer for us these past few weeks. The fruit flies have been horrible for us no matter what we try. We loved this chemical-free trap so much, we’ve already ordered a second one for upstairs! You basically just plug it into an outlet, and the UV light attracts them to the sticky pad. The flies are totally hidden until you remove the sticky card to dispose. It works for house flies, moths, and gnats as well. I only find it annoying at night because of the backlight you’ll see, but since it’s in our kitchen it really isn’t an issue. It almost acts like a nightlight. You can find extra refill cards here (it comes with two total in the main kit).

– I’ve loved this scalloped rattan side table ever since it was launched but never really had a need for it. But this week, I came across this look for less option that is almost half the price! It’s such a great budget alternative!

– I ordered very few clothes from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year (one pair of jeans). But I did pick up these sandals, these boots, and a few beauty items I wanted to stock up on. These zipper boots were the surprise winner from the sale for me. I never realized just how much a zipper needed to be added to these until trying this on. I’m sold! They come in three color options, all of which I really like, and I love that they can be worn zipped or unzipped. I actually found myself wearing my short UGGs quite often around Florida last winter, so I know these will get tons of use. I really like the sandals too and have worn them multiple times, but know some people are moving on past purchasing summer items right now. The sale ends Sunday so thought I would share these favorites! You can see my other initial top picks here.
