Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

1 – I really enjoyed reading about this English-inspired kitchen in the latest issue of House Beautiful! Every single detail is so beautiful and I love that the homeowners (a British wife and American husband living in Massachusetts) married their design styles as well in this gorgeous space. I can’t get over all the English details. Is coastal English decor a thing? Because if not, I may be implementing it soon in our house 😉
And those Serena & Lily barstools are so perfect in this space!
2 – If you’re looking for a cute holiday top, I’ve been super happy with this tartan ruffle-trim top! It fits true to size with a little room, but doesn’t have any stretch. The tartan is classic Christmas and a piece you can wear for years! If you don’t love ruffles on your shoulders, this top is another great option with a similar look and vibe but the ruffles are along the neckline! If you’re looking for even more plaid outfit and accessory ideas, be sure to check out my post on tartan plaid outfit favorites!
3 – I just ordered these navy blue and white striped candles, because as soon as I saw them, I knew someday I would thank myself for having them on hand! They also come in gold and silver options that would both be beautiful for the holidays or New Year’s Eve! But I feel like I could use the navy for virtually any holiday or for just a random dinner some night!
4 – A few months back, I bought this book and this book from India Hicks. She’s been a favorite ever since I got a chance to meet her several years back! She’s technically British royalty (and Prince Charles’ goddaughter) but lives in the Bahamas and just exudes laid-back elegance. Heck, maybe she already invented the coastal English style like I describe above. Haha! Anyway, I really enjoyed both books, but An Entertaining Story really sucked me in. Maybe because I’m ready for summer and (hopefully) the days we get back to having friends and family over! It would make a great gift for someone who loves to entertain or if you’re looking to get lost in beautiful photography, stories, recipes, and more! Her book Island Style was one of my very first designer-esque coffee table books and it’s still a favorite! I’m really starting to really miss travel, and books like this bring back just a little bit of that joy!
5 – Since the day I bought this hand-knotted rug for our dining room (which has since moved to our guest bedroom), I’ve been asked to find a look for less. I’ve searched and searched and continue to come up empty handed. BUT, I finally found a great alternative that would give you a very similar look! It’s polypropylene so it won’t give you the great texture of a hand-knotted rug, but it’s also much more affordable and clean-up is a breeze! I ordered it in the runner size to check it out in person first before sharing, but it comes in tons of sizes and it’s legit! Again, if you want the hand-knotted look, you’re likely going to have to pay the PB prices (or higher). The color leans a bit more gray on this look for less, but in person, the colors and pattern are very similar!
Here’s a look at the less condensed version of the pattern.
