Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List! Here in Nebraska, temperatures have approached 60 the last few days, so it kinda feels like summer is just around the corner. Granted, we’re supposed to be back in the 30’s by Saturday, but given that 60 has happened already in 2015 and February is less than a week away, I consider it almost summer. So today’s list is bright and cheerful!

1 – I love finding new people to follow via Instagram, and was so excited to find @kellynuttdesign this week. Her portfolio online wasn’t expansive, but I can tell her style is right up my alley. The exterior of this home is exactly how I want ours to look color-wise {you can see our current look here} once we get to a point down the road where we have to repaint. Isn’t it killer? And someday, when I have a pool, it will be as beautiful as this one {or at least in my mind}.
2 – I’m usually not much of a florals girl, but I am loving this floral print in combo with stripes. I saw the rash guard in an email or magazine ad and loved the look for spring. And that scalloped dress? Perfection for Easter. Although I likely won’t splurge for these pricier versions, it gives me a goal to find a look for less over the coming months!
3 – I have become borderline obsessed over this top. It’s completely overpriced and probably isn’t the right style for my body type but I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m declaring right now that pineapples will be the fruit of 2015 {is that even a thing?}. And I really hope this top goes on major sale before it sells out in my size.
4 – Having done a lot of travel this past month, I’ve also done a lot of reading. In look back at all the books I finished over the past month, I think this book was my favorite. It’s actually a young adult read but if you’re a fan of the The Hunger Games or Divergent series, I think you’ll love this {although this a dystopian novel like those are}. I really enjoyed it – even though it isn’t necessarily bright and cheerful as I suggested this week’s list would be. But I did read it on a beach so it counts in my mind. It’s a quick, action-packed read but really enjoyable and different from other books I’ve read recently!
5 – This may sound really random, but I feel like Pottery Barn is killing it lately. Anyone else getting this vibe? I’m actually finding some inspiration again when I look through their catalogs. Honestly, they had lost me entirely for a few years while they were going through their dark Tuscan phase. I’m not sure if it just the approach of spring or not, but their bright, preppy, fun rooms are just what I’m looking for. Here are some of my favorites right now:

I love your blog! I completely agree about Pottery Barn and love your picks! I too think pineapples will be the fruit of the season! Especially with the Lilly Pullitzer Target line coming out.

I agree about PB! I was so over their dark, heavy look and I thought their teen stuff was so much more fun and on trend. Then they finally got kilim rugs and I thought, well, better late than never! And now, I finally feel like they’ve mastered the updated traditional look with the the bright, fun colors they have out now. I love that new catalog. I see one of those throws in my near future!
I love that blue floral print! And, yes- PB has some great new things. I’ve had my eye on those throws…
I love that trellis pendant–pinned to my Lighting board. And I have been crushing over those Tory Burch sandals (the girl in the skirt is wearing them) for quite a few weeks now. Maybe…. XOXO, Christy
Hi Sarah, I’m relatively new to your blog but want to thank you for all the wonderful posts. I’ve spent hours crawling through the archives and have found loads of inspiration. My husband and I purchased a new build last October in North County San Diego and we’re slowly making it over to be a reflection of us. Seeing your Wednesday Watch List tag of Kelly Nutt’s Hermitage Pool was an added bonus we have a similar back yard utilizing the same stone for walls around our new deck but have been looking for ways to incorporate a pool and hot tub. Fabulous!
I’m always searching for my next book to read so I might just add this to the list! What type of books do you usually read? I’m digging the indigo at PB. And that trellis pendant – WOW!
I recently found your web-site and love it. I was also done with Pottery Barn due to the drab colors. Recently I’ve been viewing Ethan Allen, they are really back into it,
you’ll have to check out their 2015 HGTV Home, looks awesome and great ideas.
