I’ve said this before, but I always find January and February some of the more difficult months to decorate. The holiday season is over and it feels a bit premature to fully jump into spring decor, but I’m also craving a fresh look. I usually make the most impact with a simple swap of stems in my vases. While evergreen stems definitely still work for the next month or two, I tend to want pieces that lean more spring than winter.
Today I’m sharing some affordable new floral and branch stems finds as well as some cute new vases, all from Wayfair, that are perfect for a simple refresh in any space! Since they now have third-party vendors, like many other sites, I love that they’ve added a “Wayfair Verified” tag to products that have passed a 10-point inspection by their team. This is especially helpful if there aren’t any (or many reviews). I’ve loved their review section for years because I find the customer photos so helpful to see the products in real spaces! Let’s jump to my spring and vase picks.

Early Spring Stems
Following are some recent spring stems I’ve ordered from Wayfair. As is usually the case with most faux florals and branches, you do need to spend a minute or two fluffing them and bending the branches to mimic the natural versions. But the effort is well worth it!

After moving to the South, I’ve really come to appreciate magnolia trees! They’ve quickly become a favorite and I absolutely love their leaves. Magnolia stems are such a great option to use this time of year and these stems are such a great budget find! The price is for a set of three and they’re a great size for most standard vases.
If you really want to make a statement, try this big sister to the ones above. These 44″ magnolia stems are gorgeous and the price is one of the best for anything I’ve ever seen of this scale – and the price includes THREE stems! In the image above, I actually folded the base of each stem about 8-10″ because they’re that large. So beautiful!

Admittedly I rarely buy floral stems I find with this time of base. They don’t typically look realistic in a glass vase, but I decided to give this hydrangea pair a try and I’m so happy I did. These blooms are huge and in an opaque vase, they’re actually much easier to style with this type of base. I chose the color “green” but there are quite a few to choose from. This color just feels so fresh this time of year! Again, you get two of these large blooms for the price.
These real-touch hydrangeas are a great option if you prefer individual stemmed florals. With the real-touch petals, they’re waterproof and can be washed if you worry about dust on faux arrangements. The stems on these look much more lifelike than the option above, if you plan to use them in a glass vase. You get three stems with this set.

Chic Vases That Work Year Round
It’s no secret that I love a statement vase and in most cases, I prefer very substantial options! But, that can also mean needing a lot more stems! So rather than focusing on the size of the vase itself, I prefer to focus on the size of the vase opening and what I intend to do in terms of filler. If I only want a few stems, I ensure the mouth is small. If I want a big, dramatic arrangement or something that feels more loose and airy, I go with a slightly wider opening! Here are some recent vases I’ve tried, all of which work year-round but also pair very well with spring stems.

This seagrass-wrapped pot is such a great size and is so beautiful styled alone or filled with faux florals or stems. This one is seagrass inside and out, so you wont want to use it with fresh florals. I just love the texture and interest it adds to a space!
I really love how unique this bamboo frame vase is! It’s perfect for tablescape arrangements or fresh clippings from your yard. I think this one would be so beautiful with fresh flowers too!

These glass table vases come in four sizes and are so classic! I’ve seen nearly identical versions sold elsewhere for more than double the cost, This is another great option for fresh floral arrangements, as well!
This cane-wrapped hurricane can be used for everything from florals to candles and more! I think the proportions are off in the stock photo for the larger size (what I own) so go by my image and the measurements. It’s definitely more of a taller cylinder in the larger size! I love that you get the natural weave element with this one, but the glass keeps the rattan from getting damaged by water!
