Valentines Love

My Mom and dad send us Valentines love every year!

We are not really big on Valentine’s Day in this household.  We think the day is kind of lame and rather than exchanging gifts, we always just go out to dinner and enjoy a nice romantic meal together.

The BEST part of Valentine’s each year is that my mom and dad send us some of my mom’s best homemade sugar cookies with homemade frosting.  I was talking to my mom after work today and she asked if we happened to get a special package in the mail…I knew it could only mean one thing!  I asked the husband if one had arrived and he said no…a few seconds later he was laughing.  He had hidden the cookies so he didn’t have to share!

I don’t know what it is about these things, but we could eat the whole entire package in one sitting!  It doesn’t help that I don’t have to work tomorrow…the cookies may be my breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Thanks mom and dad ~ we love you!

And, on a similar note, I saw this cute heart pillow on Etsy and thought about making one for V-Day.  I never got around to it but it would be a cute idea for next year and doesn’t look like it would be all that hard.
