I will show you how lovely and simple Valentine’s Day decoration ideas can be!
Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is less than three weeks away?! To me, the day signifies spring, even if the calendars don’t say so. Kurtis and I do very little to celebrate Valentine’s Day (and I rarely decorate). But I picked up a cute wood bead garland with a sweet heart at a local shop and it got me thinking about other simple Valentine’s Day decoration ideas. I then swung by Pottery Barn a few days later and they had some really cute subtle pink pillows that I almost bought. And I rarely decorate with pink! So today, I’m going to share some simple Valentine’s Day decor ideas – many of which could easily translate over into simple spring decor!

Simple Valentine’s Day Decoration Ideas
A few simple touches around the home is really all you need to get the Valentine’s Day love vibe. Like I mentioned, I may only use my wood bead garland and call it a day. You could also add a few lovely blush-toned pillows that would then work just as well for spring! Or, you can go all-out heart themed and still keep it really classic and fun! Following are a few other cute finds.
Gingham Cork Placemat | Heart Plate | Heart Tray | Babe Mug |Â Le Creuset Heart Cocotte |Â Pink Abstract Art | You Have My Heart Art | Wood Beads | Faux Peony Bundle | Plush Throw |Â Faux Tulip Bundle | Vintage Runner |Â Pink Patterned Pillow Cover | Neutral Pillow Cover | Pink Textured Pillow
I’ve had these heart plates for three years now, and I still love them just as much (I even ordered a few more last year)! They remind me of the sugar cookies my mom bakes and ships to us each year – which is by far my favorite part of Valentine’s Day! I also love the coordinating tray
I actually found the exact wood bead and heart I was able to buy here in Omaha at an online store. For you locals, I found it at On A Whim in Legacy. If you’re not local you can order online. The shop is Canadian so the shipping prices are a bit high to the States but they have tons of cute items and it appears to be flat shipping rates. I also found these beads and these beads that you could use in a simple way and attach your own heart for a fraction of the price! You could also make the heart detachable if you only wanted it there for Valentine’s Day.
One of my favorite ideas would be to add a captivating pink toned vintage runner to your kitchen. I love this one and this one! This is something that could actually be used year-round, as the vintage runners in kitchen is a trend that seems to be carrying into 2019 – and I don’t see it going anywhere any time soon! You can see even more gorgeous options here.
As I mentioned I saw this pillow and this pillow last time I was in Pottery Barn. If I saw them online I probably wouldn’t have noticed them. But in person, they were gorgeous! This one actually has really subtle pink in parts of the flower silhouettes and it is so beautiful but still reads pretty neutral. And the texture on this one is so good – almost like a vintage rug! Love, love, love!
I bought these faux peony bundles and faux tulip bundles last year and love them! I’m not a faux floral person typically, but these ones are actually pretty decent. You can see them in my Valentine’s Day Tablescape from last year. These faux cherry blossom stems are another really pretty option!
