The project list is long for me this weekend. I want to wrap up painting the laundry room. I also have a lot of sewing to do – curtains for the office and our bedroom as well as a boatload of pillows.
If you follow me on Instragram, you saw that I finally started sewing pillows for the king guest bedroom update. I got two of the Euro shams done last night but I saved one for today because I think I will compile a tutorial to share. As I moved the shams to the bed, I’m worried that the fabric colors {which I love} are a little off with the gray and white striped walls. The gray just feel too gray and the fabric feels to beige/cream.
{Fabrics are Braemore Wonderland Pearl, Celerie Kemble Betwixt in Grass, and Windsor Smith XU Garden in Orkid – a larger scale print of the Pelagos} |
Here’s the original design board from this post. You can see above I added another fabric to the mix {one I’ve had on hand for a year or so and it works perfectly with this combo}:
The color I had assumed was gray when purchasing the floral fabric online {the perils of not having actually seen a fabric in person}, is actually more of a bluish-periwinkle. I’m trying to rack my brain to find an accessory or something that will make the creams and grays tie together better, whether it be in a piece of artwork or adding another fabric to the mix. Any suggestions?

Love the fabric choices… especially the Celerie Kemble Betwixt in Grass. How about adding a long bolster in a solid gray fabric to the mix? Maybe a pretty velvet?

Try getting it together and see what you think. Gray is a neutral and you’ve already repeated the gray in the leather bed. I think you might find, that it will look good just as you had planned! Good luck. Can’t wait to see it. I’m sure it is going to be gorge!

Love your fabric choices! I have that pink one in gray/blue as drapes in our living room and breakfast room.
