things i’m loving lately

I figured it was time for another post about things I am loving {prior posts found here, here + here}.   I have been a really bad blogger lately and I thought it was time I got with the program.  Here are the items I am loving lately:

Toms Kenya Stripe Wedges.  I saw this style on a blog {I haven’t really ever been a huge fan of the flats} and once I saw the 5x SkyMiles at Nordstrom’s {where they now appear to be sold out} and was reminded about the free shoes for children in developing countries, I caved in and bought a pair.  I haven’t regretted it since.  I get tons of compliments on these and they are very comfy and made well.  Well worth the cash.

Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes.  I buy these in bulk at Costco because honestly, there is nothing I hate more than washing my face.  So, this allows my lazy self to wash my face as often as I should (that’s why I think my mom recommended them to me).  They don’t require water and do a great job of cleaning your face and removing all your makeup.

iPad.  My office bought this for me back in February and from day one I thought I would never use it.  It seemed pretty pointless to me.  But, with all the traveling I had to do over that month period, it was a lifesaver.  Over the past year I have officially become one of “those people” that has to constantly be connected to the office.  The iPad gives me so much access and make me feel connected again.  Its my security blanket.  Its also pretty nice that it syncs up with my Nook so I can read on it too.

30 Day Shred.  In reality, I did the 5 Day Shred, but I am determined to get back on board.  This thing kicks.your.butt.  But in a good way.  I made the husband feel my leg muscles no less than 50 times in five days because I was convinced I really was stronger already.  I am really determined to get back on board with this.

I bought this necklace on Etsy a few weeks back and have worn it every possible opportunity.  I love it so much.  It hangs right in the cleft of your collarbone and is so cute with so many outfits.  Its very petite and dainty but oh so cute.

Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum Series.  My sister-in-law Ashlee recommended these to me, and I am loving them more and more with each book.  I mentioned them previously when I found out that Katherine Heigl will be in a future movie as Stephanie Plum and I am currently up to the ninth book.  They are so funny but also suspenseful at the same time.  KH is the perfect person for the role and I can’t wait to see it in theaters.

The husband will LOVE that I am posting this as a fave.  Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass.  He got me hooked – I admit it.  Its super catchy though and I really love the chorus – the video is a little risque though so I will let you listed to this one on your own.

Lastly (or second to lastly) I did the unthinkable and replaced my old mascara, L’Oreal Voluminous.  For 6-9 months I have been using Revlon’s Grow Luscious Mascara.  It is much more natural but definitely lengthens.  I do still love L’Oreal though too.

And like last time, I am posting something that I really WANT to love if only I were lucky enough to attend.  A private concert by Don Henley {whose birthday is 7/22 – mine and the husband’s anniversary}.  I really hope I can find tickets since it is already sold out.  Dream performance of a lifetime.  And let’s face it – he’s in his 60’s now so there may not be many more opportunities for him to rock out.  I’m still kicking myself for not going to the Jackson Browne at Chateau St. Michelle concert last year.

DH then and now:

The other alternative is to head to Vegas in November and see the whole gang 🙂  For a mere $895 per person I can get a front row seat.  For $895, I had better get to meet every single one of them and join them on tour for a year!
