Because you all know I am very opinionated {and usually always right 🙂 }, I thought you may want to get some product reviews on items I have purchased recently or old faves that are still number one in my mind.
1. My nook. Very likely one of the best purchases I have ever made. I use this thing at least an hour a day and quite often for several hours a day. The battery life is exceptional and although it seems weird not reading actual books anymore, you get used to it rather quickly. Plus, you don’t have to have a room devoted to storing all your books {and it is incredible if you travel a lot}. Even my sister-in-law  who swore she could not give up books, has gradually started to read on her nook and only occasionally buys books. If you like to read, this is highly recommended!
2. My Droid. I have officially become one of “those people” that is looking at their phone every five seconds. Not only can I search the internet I can check my personal and work emails, get driving directions, play games, etc. and I can actually text now! My one criticism is the battery life but since it basically can do anything, I guess I can see what it drains so quickly. I can’t believe I have survived all these years without it!
3. Rosetta Stone Spanish. If you ever opt to learn a second language, this is by far the best thing I have ever encountered. We started in February (the husband it about two days) but I have stuck with it and although I have not been as consistent with my lessons as I should, it is AMAZING how much I have learned in such a short period time. I am only half way through the second disc (out of five) and I can honestly say that if I had been much more diligent over the past few months I would be 100% fluent by now. The activities are fun and really challenge you. I have learned the basics but can also speak in full sentences on many topics, ask questions, and carry on full conversations. I know how to go shopping {sweet!}, weather related info, ask about travel/flights/subways, etc. and delays/arrivals/departures, get and give directions and I am already learning past and future tense. I plan to stick with this even after our trip to Europe next month as it has always been a lifelong goal of mine to be fluent in multiple languages. Next up, maybe French or Italian? 🙂
4. Moroccan Oil. I have loved using it every day since purchase. It is amazing how quickly your hair soaks it up and looks healthy and shiny (without leaving an oily residue). I have a lot of hair and only use a dime size amount or smaller per day and rub it into the ends. It also works really well as a detangler {not much works on this mop of mine but this really helps with tangles}. Check to see if your hair salon carries it and give it a try. My salon can barely keep it in stock!
5. The Bombshell. This baby works. In fact, it works so well that I avoid wearing it to work at all costs. It really only makes an appearance if I haven’t done laundry for awhile or am wearing a really loose shirt. Although, I am tempted to get the swim version! No pics on this one – you have to see it to believe it.
6. Lint Wizard Pro. This is not a joke. I was at the fabric store {I know your shocked} and while I was waiting for my fabric to get cut the lady working there asked if I had seen this before. She gave a little demo and I was sold. We have been on a never-ending search to clean the cat hair off our furniture and this works better than anything else we have tried. It still leaves some behind but is by far the best item I have ever tried to remove pet hair.
7. Beauty Rush Lip Gloss. This one’s a repeat but deserves more attention. The creative geniuses at Victoria’s Secret keep inventing new flavors to suck me in and I very possibly own thirty+ of these now. They are perfection. They don’t leave your lips sticky or dry them out like other lip glosses do. And the flavors are to die for but my fave is still Cupquake {for taste and color}. I lick my lips all day long with these babies.
8. L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara. I frequently get asked what type of mascara I wear. I have tried tons of different products but always come back to L’Oreal Voluminous because it really goes on the best/thickest, etc. without any clumps. I prefer non-waterproof formulas. You can find this at any drugstore. But the secret really lies in the next product I am reviewing.
9. Sonia Dashuk Lash Comb. Grossly enough, I have owned one of these for four or five years and never replaced it. If you want great eyelashes, you have to use an eyelash comb after your mascara dries {just remember to brush the flakes off that fall on your face}. The Sonia Dashuk one has metal teeth instead of plastic and does an incredible job of separating lashes. This thing can be lethal so be careful. This isn’t my exact one {mine doesn’t have a brow comb} but you can get it at Target for less than five bucks.
10. Jackson Browne at Chateau St. Michelle. Okay, so I can’t give a review on this but I NEED to be there on July 30th so I can properly provide you with a review. I told the husband this can count as my 30th birthday present {forget about the Mediterranean cruise we are going on in a few weeks – I have officially declared it is only an anniversary present}. Not only do I LOVE Jackson Browne, I love Chateau St. Michelle’s wines {especially their Riesling}. What a great combo. Next thing you know the Eagles will be performing at Lake Powell or some craziness like that. I am sure this would be such a beautiful venue to see JB.  I’ll do whatever I can to go. I may even mow our lawn for the rest of the summer. It worked before, maybe it will work again!
So, no bad reviews ~ I apparently like everything I buy! Hopefully you can find at least one review on this post helpful.
