I had to share this homemade buttermilk syrup with you because it is the best syrup ever!Homemade pancakes with blueberries and homemade buttermilk syrup on top.

I don’t share recipes often, because quite honestly, I rarely cook. But this homemade buttermilk syrup recipe from my mom is killer and too good not to share!  I’ve been meaning to post it for some time and finally found the time.

We love this sweet syrup so much we have even made it on our own at home {a huge step around here}. The great thing is that you will usually have leftovers – so it will easily span a few meals in our household {we just re-heat it in the microwave}!

Trust me. It’s amazing and like frosting for your breakfast foods. We love it on our homemade french toast or pancakes, particularly with fresh blueberries or strawberries!
