Sharing Thanksgiving outfit ideas that will also work well into late fall and early winter!
It’s hard to believe we’re just over a week out from Thanksgiving! Today’s post is a reader request. I’m sharing some simple cute Thanksgiving outfit ideas using fashionable items I’ve paired together in the past with a few new ideas thrown in the mix!

Our Thanksgivings tend to be fairly casual events. I typically like to dress up a bit more than usual since I don’t that often, but I also place a high level of focus on comfort! Lots of food and un-comfy clothes is not a good combination 😉
Although I’m calling these casual Thanksgiving outfit ideas, I wanted to make sure all the pieces would work well for all of late fall and into winter! Nothing too theme-y here, since I tend to do that more around Christmas time (give me all the tartan)! Some of the outfits I’ve paired below are a few years old, so I’ve found similar items for those items that are no longer available.
This fresh green mockneck cableknit sweater (similar here) has been my go-to lately! It’s super soft, the color is so pretty for fall and it’s so easy to wear! It does run a bit big (I ordered down to a medium). And my favorite affordable booties are back and available in even more colors and options (including faux suede)!
OUTFIT SOURCES: Cableknit Mockneck Sweater (similar here) | Boyfriend Jeans (old from J. Crew Factory) – similar here | Reversible Belt | Booties | Favorite Fall/Winter Cologne | Favorite Lip Liner (color is Pillowtalk) | Glossy Lipstick (color is Pillowtalk) | Gold & Crystal Hoop Earrings
This next casual outfit idea is a mix of high/low pieces that all look so cute together and are great if you also have a long day of travel for the holiday! I got these jeans in the early spring and I’m not exaggerating when I say they are my go-to travel jeans every . single. time . They are super comfy, stay fitted, and the price is so hard to beat. I’ve worn them so much that some of the stitching is coming undone, so I’m going to order another pair or two to make sure I always have them on hand!
This balloon sleeve striped sweater is super cozy and is just long enough to cover the bum if you want to wear skinny jeans! It’s a lighter weight sweater material. I ordered a large and it runs a bit big, but since I wanted more of a tunic fit, it’s perfect! And these suede travel ballet flats come in nine colors (several are on sale) and are so comfy for long periods of wear!

This next outfit will transition so well into the holidays. It’s no secret I’ve been loving this pom sweater in the camel color, and I’ve been wearing it so much I also ordered the pretty ivory and black version while it was on sale! I took this look a bit on the “fancier” side with black denim and heels. If you haven’t tried this brand of stretchy waist jeans, they will change your life! I have three pairs in different washes and love them all! These velvet hair ties are my favorite for making casual pony tails look a bit more polished!
OUTFIT SOURCES: Pom Pom Bobble Sweater | Black Baby Bootcut Jeans | High Heels | Velvet Hair Tie | Gold Starburst Drop Earrings | Favorite Jo Malone Cologne | Favorite Lip Liner (color is Kiss ‘N’ Tell) | Red Lip Stain (red trio set) | Tory Burch Bracelets (similar) | Faux Berry Juniper Branch Greenery
This is actually the outfit I wore to Thanksgiving dinner last year in Salt Lake City! The exact sweater I wore sold out quickly last year, but they brought a super similar option back this year in tons of bold colors! It was so versatile all winter. And there’s one of those velvet hair ties again 😉

I wore this next adorable outfit a few years ago! The cashmere sweater is still available (and hint: usually goes on sale Black Friday). I thought it looked so cute paired with a floppy hat!

This pom cableknit sweater was another favorite last year! It has since sold out but I found a similar version here. It looks so cute paired with this windowpane blanket scarf (which you can also have monogrammed if you wish)!

And while I realize flip-flops aren’t going to work for most areas this time of year, I still thought this outfit from last fall was a cute one that would also work. Just sub in some knee-high boots or wedges if you’re in a colder climate! I love the length on this cardigan.

If you have a much fancier Thanksgiving dinner planned, I can’t recommend this dress enough. Not only is it super cute but it’s so comfy and would definitely allow for some mealtime waist expansion 😉 The dress fits true to size, but was a little snug for me in the upper arms since there isn’t much stretch. I love that it now comes in this plaid option for the holidays!

And, on the other extreme, if you’re lounging around the house most of the day, this has been my go-to comfy outfit that looks more put together than pajamas!
OUTFIT SOURCES: Cozy Tunic | Leggings | Slippers | Silk Hair Ties
I love this next outfit because it looks polished but is super comfy! You can basically throw any tee under the sweater jacket. Pair with your favorite stretchy skinny jeans and knee-high boots and you’re good to go. The only change I’d recommend is nixing the stadium bag in lieu of something “real” 😉
OUTFIT DETAILS: Sweater Jacket | Striped T-Shirt | Knee-High Boots | Skinny Jeans | Gold & Tortoise Earrings | Stadium Approved Clear Bag
This last one is basically a dressed up sweatshirt! It makes you look a bit more polished without sacrificing comfort! I have a few of these because they seem to release new patterns on the ruffle trim each year!

Your “eye” certainly extends past home decor to fashion.
Actually loved all the outfits. I really liked the idea of
black jeans to dress up a bit. And the olive branches
reminded me t0 look for your source. Love how easy you make
sourcing especially during this busy time of year.
