Spring Master Bedroom

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends, Room Makeovers + Design Plans

My spring master bedroom has just been updated!  Check out all the design details!

Bright master bedroom with board and batten ceiling and accent wall. Walls are painted Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. Beautiful white and brown paisley and scallop bedding from eBay. Trellis curtains accent blue and white bedding colors.

This post is sponsored by eBay and contains affiliate links. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I’ve mentioned a few times now that I’m slowly working on updating our master bedroom and guest bedrooms as I find the perfect statement pieces. About a month ago, I finally decided the overall design look I wanted for our master bedroom. It’s still a major work in progress, but when I saw this bedroom (two other angles here and here), I knew I finally had a starting point for the knockout design. For some reason, that brown and white soft paisley bedding wouldn’t leave my mind!

So, if you know me, it consumed my thoughts and I had to find something similar. Enter: this paisley coverlet I found on eBay. It was the perfect option at a great price-point. I ordered it without any further thoughts about the rest of the room design. Because that’s how I tend to roll.

Tows of trellis pillows, and blue and green accents. Board and batten accent wall behind linen bed.

Because I love the look of a layered bed, especially when it comes to soft elegant neutrals, I also picked up this white scalloped coverlet. It’s by Madison Park, which is actually the same brand of the coverlet we used to have in our main guest bedroom that so many of you loved! I love the scallop detail and the simplicity of white bedding.

As I mentioned a month or two back, I love to look for designer remnant fabric on eBay but I also sometimes forget that 81% of all merchandise sold on eBay is new. Did you know that the 88% of items sold on eBay are new and “Buy It Now”, meaning no bidding is necessary? Perfect for me since you know how patient I am 😉 But, one of my favorite features is simply the vast array of product. I can find brands like Pottery Barn bedding along with designer fabrics and other unique finds, typically for less than anywhere else I can find them. The eBay Spring Bedding Event has tons of great versatile items to freshen up your bedroom just in time for spring! And, to ensure you’re getting new bedding, you can filter using the “New With Tags” feature to ensure it’s a new item. I then always check the reviews of the sellers and I’m good to go!

I love using affordable faux maidenhair fern stems to pop in pretty vases on nightstands or in other spots around our home. They look so pretty and fresh for spring!

A tray with beads on a string in it plus a vase with greenery in it beside the bed.

Now that I’ve nailed down the bedding I’ll be using in the updated bedroom, I have a little more direction in terms of what I want for other accessories in the space. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ll be painting the walls soon (once I’ve wrapped up other projects). I’m thinking a warm, light greige will look best. I’d also love to make some new curtains and possibly add a rug and new nightstands for a cohesive look. The new white bead chandelier is set to arrive yet this week, so decorating progress is looking good!

If you’re in the mood for a little sophisticated bedroom refresh of your own, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite finds from eBay, all with great price-points. Simply click any of the images below to learn more about each of the items shown.

Be sure to also check out even more items from their Spring Bedding Event! I’ll be checking in soon with more bedroom updates!

Sarah, gosh I ❤️ everything you do. The blue in the pillow on your bed (also seen in your living room) always scratches at me as somehow being ‘off.’ Don’t know why….

Thank you so much Wendy! And I know that pillow isn’t for everyone, but it’s still one of my favorites! 🙂

Well I love it all!! Looking so fresh.
Thanks for the heads up and hints about eBay…. I always forget about them. And to be honest that whole bidding thing has been a mystery to me. Didn’t realize you can JUST buy stuff! Thanks for the info!!

Would you ever consider selling your curtains? If so, I’d be interested.

Thank you so much Jessica! We got it from Nebraska Furniture Mart six or seven years ago. The brand is Bernhardt. Here is a similar headboard option if you’re interested: https://rstyle.me/n/cww2wg75re.
