I know the eastern side of the country is being hit by winter again today, but it definitely feels like spring is in the air! Today I’ve partnered with some of my talented friends, hosted by Randi Garrett Design and Decor Gold Designs, to share one room in our home dressed up for spring. If you’re new around here, you can check out more of our spring home here. But today I’m sharing some updates for spring in one of our guest bedrooms.
To be honest, I hate how this room looks when I photograph it. It’s so much brighter in real life, but because the left-hand side doesn’t have natural light I feel like the whole room looks wrong. But I actually love the glow in real life!
I’ve made a very conscious decision not to “over-decorate” this year, so the updates for spring are pretty minimal. But, still allow for springtime vibes!
I recently made some changes for spring, the biggest of which was removing the mirror from over the bed. I think long-term I’m going to need to paint the main walls (they are currently Behr Castle Path which is in most of our home) because it just looks too dark in here. But, removing the mirror and allowing more white space has definitely helped!
I picked up a new lamp and vase at HomeGoods and love how they look in the room! Paired with the fresh pink tulips, it just feels like spring! The glass beads are from our recent trip to California. I rounded up several similar options below:
I also bought these pillows at HomeGoods, but it was a few years ago and I thought their colors were perfect for spring! I’ve linked to the identical fabric in the sources below.
This throw is a new purchase and I love the chunky tassels on each of the corners. It’s larger than most of our throws too, which is perfect for the giants that we are 😉 And it’s on mega clearnac eright now.
These Euro shams were a recent buy and I love the embroidered detail and the frayed edges.
The tulips, paired with some ranunculus and one of my favorite hymns by Lindsay Letters is spring perfection!
I hope you enjoyed these updates to our spring guest bedroom!
Now, I’d love for you to visit all the other beautiful stops on this tour! The next stop is my sweet friend Jen from Decor Gold Designs. Once you’ve visited her tour, be sure to stop in and see all the other homes along the way!

This room looks great! What brand bed skirt do you use? I have the same duvet and I am having a difficult time trying to find a white bed skirt to match it. It seems they lean toward ivory or the material is thin and they are almost see through. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thank you so much Kristin! Honestly, I have NO idea where I got that one. I’m pretty sure I’ve had it for 10+ years but I’m thinking it was Overstock? I’ve had good luck with the ones from Pottery Barn too, but they are obviously a lot pricier. But, theirs seem to be a heavier weight. I hope that helps!
