It was time for a little multi room update of slate and pine!
I finally got around to painting the laundry room after this post {and can’t believe as I post this that it was back in August I started the whole project}. As much as I loved the stripe idea, I just didn’t have the patience or energy to deal with them in such a tiny, crowded little laundry room. So, I replaced the Benjamin Moore Pine Grove with Restoration Hardware’s Slate {it’s a dark gray color with slightly brown undertones}. It wasn’t all that intentional – I just loved the color and had purchased that along with Silver Sage at their last 20% friends and family sale. I really love how the subtle tones look! Now I just need some accessories and I would love to get rid of that fluorescent light and cheap little faucet that came with our utility sink.
Updating And Painting
Funny enough, although I replaced the Pine Grove paint, I added pine in another area of our home. I found some free downloads from the New York Public Library images and had them printed up at Costco for $1.49 each for my frames I hung a few weeks back {from Michael’s}. I thought these pine cone prints were fun for winter. They came out kind of blurry {online, Costco told me they might be blurry due to image quality but for $1.49 each I wasn’t too worried}. I thought they would be fun to switch out seasonally.
In addition to getting nearly all of my Christmas gifts wrapped this weekend, I also got a few more decorations out. I love our glittery little Merry Christmas sign that fits perfectly on my limited mantel now. Maybe by Christmas I will be fully ready for this holiday!
While the husband was at his NBA Fantasy Draft today and I addressed our Christmas cards, the cats also worked very hard!
This was the perfect long weekend – we got a lot accomplished but also had some fun on some dinner dates!
