One Room Spring Tour: Our Entryway

Home Tour

Today I’ve teamed up with Kathleen from Lindsay Hill Interiors along with a group of 24 bloggers to share a “one room” spring tour. The basis of the tour is that each day this week, five bloggers will share the one assigned room of the day in their home. Yesterday, five bloggers shared their front porches/doorsteps and today, I, along with four other bloggers, will share my entryway! I have all 24 bloggers and their one rooms linked up at the bottom of this post so you can follow along!

If you’re new around here, welcome! My husband and I have lived in our home for about three and a half years. When you’re done with this post, be sure to check out our full home spring tour. But I’ll be sharing an even wider variety of entryway photos in this post today than I did in the full spring tour. I don’t tend to over-decorate when it comes to seasonal decor; instead I change up a few throw pillows and stick with a new, unified color scheme on the accents around our home.

Welcome to our home! Our entryway was one of the first things that we fell in love with when we stepped through the front door, because of it’s unique layout and design. It is filled with natural night from nearly every direction. You’ll see there are four main areas that require decorating attention, and although I don’t match them entirely, they have cohesive elements throughout. This spring, navy and stripes were my focus.

I adore your light and bright entry, and how it flows into that wall of doors down the hallway!
It’s exquisite. The navy is a great addition and accent to your space. I knew I’d love your tour!!

I’ve always adored your entry and it’s so pretty right now with all of your spring touches. Honestly, I have a huge entry filed away in that “someday dream house” corner of my brain. Such a lovely way to enter a home. Those stools are a steal, aren’t they? Especially considering I’ve seen folding stools at obscene prices (why???) Happy spring!

beautiful entryway! is the rug in the link the same rug (Handmade Thom Filicia Tioga Ink Blue Outdoor Rug) ? even though you note that it is reversible, the pictures on overstock don’t show the other side.
thanks for sharing your amazing home!

Yes – it’s the same one! I didn’t realize it was light on the other side either until I received it. But love the lighter side so much more!

Looks like you have replaced that picture on your stairs with a clock? I love the clock. Do you have a link for it? Do you think it would look good in a dining room? Need wall art for dining and having a hard time so I thought a clock might work?

I actually replaced the clock with the new artwork 🙂 But I think a clock could definitely work in a dining room, especially on a really large scale! The one I had was from HomeGoods a few years back so unfortunately I don’t have a link.

Hi there! I love your dark hardwood. Do you know what brand, style, etc it is? Engineered vs hardwood? If engineered, how thick? Also, do you know if it is a rotary peel? I am choosing wood for my own home and found one that I think is close to what you have but I just have a small sample so it’s nice to see what it looks like in a larger space. Feel free to email if that’s easier!
