I had some of my windows/doors photos from our trip enlarged with the intent of hanging them in the phantom frames in our guest bedroom.  I haven’t decided on which ones to use {and at $3.99 a print I didn’t feel like I had to be too selective}, but here’s where I ended up so far from three of our favorite stops {Capri, Volterra, San Gimignano – all in Italy}:

Of course, I only thought to make 8×10 enlargements and not any 5×7’s so the nightstand frame still sits empty:

The best part of all is that I love having something unique hanging in our home that can’t be found anywhere else.  It’s also fun that we can remember the day and the town we were visiting when the picture was taken.  The colors are rather bold in the photos but I love that they all have red geraniums and I think the brightness works, given that the rest of the room is so monotone.  I’m still thinking of jazzing it up a little with a bold throw pillow in the center of the bed {maybe jewel-toned velvet in grass green or peacock blue?}.  Sort of like these shown below from Crate & Barrel. Still undecided in this area though but am leaning towards the blue.
And a look back at the room from the beginning.  I feel like this is one of the few rooms in our house that is nearing completion. Now we just need to figure out how to keep the bed from looking so rumpled and wrinkly all the time!
