Today I am welcoming Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof. She may be one of the funniest chicas in blogland and she cracks me up on a daily basis. Her style is bold and sassy and I love that she isn’t afraid to take risks with her decorating style. Her personality definitely shines through in her home!

Hey y’all! I’m Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof.

Over at my blog, I rant about DIY projects, creating chic décor from junk, thrifty finds, crafty creations and other decorating dilemmas. Once upon a time, I was a teacher, but that degree is now collecting dust and could potentially be morphed into a DIY project one day. When I’m not trying to keep my kid from climbing out of the circus ring or making sure my husband’s shirts are taken to the dry cleaners so I get out of ironing, I can be found with a paintbrush in one hand and a cheap beer in the other. If you are buying though, I’ll have a Cosmo.

Thanks to Sarah for having me over at her fabulous blog today – she is just full of gorgeous ideas. I envy her ideas and her hair. Yep, her hair – have you seen how gorgeous it is?

I promise, Sarah, I’m not a freaky stalker.

I thought to give you guys an idea of what you can find on my blog, I would share some of my most popular posts that people besides just my family seem to like. The most popular post of all time is my home tour from last summer.

However, lucky for you, I just posted a brand spankin’ new home tour a few weeks back. My home is a mix of vintage, modern, and rustic styles, with a bit of chic-ness thrown in here and there. When we bought it, it was a foreclosure and my mother-in-law cried. Yea, she did. You can tour it here and read more about all that. When you see my home tour, if you are like most people, you may like my kitchen the most (it has definitely came the farthest), and you may really like my DIY kitchen island.

I threaten daily to be laid out on it when I die. I love it that much. You can see how we built it here from salvaged materials and check out those barstools evolution here. And while you are perusing my home tour, don’t miss the bathroom renovation.

This Old House magazine actually put it in their budget remodels issue last October and I swear, my heart left my body for a moment. It was a big dream come true for me. See it here.

Apparently, people really seem to think that I’m good with party decorations, because those posts are always popular. It could also be that my party decor is just really simple to make too.

My DIY party banner is really easy to make and you don’t have to have a Silhouette or Cricut to do it. That DIY party backdrop behind the banner is also a hot post and will only cost you a whopping $3 to make. Furniture makeovers are one of my favorite things in the world to do and my blog is full of ’em.

This table that I made over using wrapping paper is super popular and its one of my favorite makeovers to date. I just love the colors on it. You can see my full gallery of furniture makeovers here.

Thanks again to Sarah for having me today!
