I have put together a summer garden party and wanted to share all the nature inspired details with you!
Today I’ve teamed up with Ursula at Home Made by Carmona, along with 20+ bloggers, to share with you our outdoor spaces and gardens! And in case you missed it, I also shared Day 2 of my trip to Kansas City earlier this morning.
I love easy to maintain perennials like knockout roses, catmint, lavender, and hydrangeas. But, I’m also a huge fan of annuals and tend to go a bit overboard with planters throughout our yard. It always seems like a good idea until I have to spend 30 minutes each night watering the lovely planters in the dead heat of July 😉
If this camera shot looks a bit ethereal, it’s actually because it has been so hot and humid here the last few days, I couldn’t get a shot in without my camera completely fogging over! You can literally see the steam hanging in the air.
Our inviting courtyard, situated between my home office, our entryway hallway, and our dining room, always feels like a bit of a secret garden. This is where I keep my herbs along with colorful annuals to liven the space with botanical color! This is an older shot from a month or so back and my herbs and the hibiscus trees have gone wild since!
Here is the outdoor space recently styled for summer! You can read more about outdoor entertaining in this post.
Pillows | Seersucker Napkins | Plates & Bowls | Madras Chargers | Stemless Glasses | DIY Outdoor Couch | Firepit set from Costco years ago
We recently completed our dream backyard renovation! There’s still some minor work to do, but we couldn’t be happier with the show stopping results so far! Be sure to also check out the entire backyard pool reveal if you haven’t already!
My favorite thing we’ve planted so far? This gorgeous hydrangea tree, which is about to explode with lavish blooms!
Lounge Chairs | Umbrellas | Conversation Set | Striped Pillows | Patterned Pillows
We’re eating a lot more meals outdoors now (with the exception of the past few sweltering days), now that we have a proper place to eat.
Dining Set | Striped Towels | Edison String Lights | Pillow and Hook Racks are from HomeGoods
I hope you enjoyed my lovely outdoor spaces! Now, be sure to check out all the other gorgeous outdoor spaces for even more inspiration and creative ideas!
