DIY Chalk Marker Gift Wrap

Christmas, Gift Ideas

Today I’ve teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers, hosted by Stefanie at Brooklyn Limestone, to bring you a fun blog hop called Pretty Packages. We’ve each created a fun DIY package to inspire you for the gift-giving season!

pretty package tour

I opted to make a DIY chalk marker gift wrap package. This option is not only simple, but it gives you so many options to customize all of your gifts for the season!

First up, I bought some basic kraft paper. Most rolls out there are huge so it will go a long ways and will last for years to come.

I have a full source list at the bottom of this post if you’re interested, but here were all my pretty supplies all laid out before I got started!

Next, I simply wrote on each of the pieces of wrapping paper with either a single word or full verse to songs I loved. I really liked the combination of multiple looks! I experimented with writing prior to wrapping and after the gift was already wrapped. Honestly, it wasn’t much different either way.

I went with the first verse to ‘O Holy Night’ on the black kraft paper with my favorite chalk ink and then just the word ‘Joy’ on the regular kraft paper with black chalk ink. I then added in some faux greenery and pretty accessories and I love how the paper turned out!
