I went pretty light on the decorations this year. I was a gung ho decorator at first, before Thanksgiving, and finally wrapped up doing what I am going to put out this year {not much}. Here is a little glimpse of our Christmas decor.
The tree. I love the tree itself – I just need to learn how to hang ornaments better. Last year my friend and I got matching 9 foot pre-lit trees at David’s {thanks to my mom for clarifying that it was not Spencer’s! – I knew it was a man’s name} in Bountiful at 75% off. I also bought several ornaments there and some more at Pottery Barn at 90% off. I went with a natural look – browns, silvers and golds. Don’t mind that the bottom branches are all pointing downwards – Henley and Hawkeye broke them after day one of setup.

Next year my goal is to add a nativity scene – since that’s what Christmas is all about!
