Beautiful Backyard Blogger Series and A Video Tour

Landscaping and Outdoor Spaces

Here is a detailed look at my beautiful backyard!    I also have included a video tour of the outdoor space.

Today I’ve teamed up with my friend Stefanie from Brooklyn Limestone, as part of her ‘Beautiful Backyard Blogger Series’ to share our newly renovated backyard! I know I shared quite a bit in last week’s big backyard pool reveal post but today I’ll be sharing a few more details, along with a video tour of the space!

Beautiful Backyard Series

Pool Deck with Lounge Chairs beside the unground pool.

As a reminder, here’s where the outdoor space started out earlier this spring.

A picture of the large backyard prior to the pool being constructed.

I’m going to start the tour off with the video I shot on Saturday. Disclaimer: Don’t forget – this is my first foray into video and it is very amateur. I promise to up my game soon with some additional practice! But, I thought it would be fun to share a quick walking tour with all of you as part of this fun series today.

This was obviously shot rather spur of the moment so forgive my nervousness, lack of make-up, and my fancy pool attire 😉 You can see I’m wearing my super cheap striped tassel cover-up I featured a month or two back in my Wednesday Watch List. It’s been a favorite this summer because it’s so comfy and easy to throw on over a wet suit!

Also, I mentioned pool diapers in the video. They obviously are not actual diapers but that’s what the guys refer to them as. They are perfect floating devices for sitting in the deep end (your legs sit on them like a saddle). You can get them in several colors here. Super comfy and perfect for when you just want to float with a drink! Also seen in the video: striped directors chairs, striped outdoor curtains, our pineapple pool float and pink flamingo pool float!

Now for those that don’t want the video tour, or would like to see the space closer up, here are a few photos. Be sure to also check out my backyard pool reveal post if you want to see even more (along with the links to a 20-weeks of the progress)!

Small flowering shrubs beside the pool, plus stepping stones in the grass beside the pool.

Hopefully next week (but possibly the week after), I’ll be sharing the full source list for everything, even down to the pool liner and paver details, along with budget tips, etc. More than you will likely ever want to know about this backyard project! Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure to stop by and check out all the other beautiful backyards!
