Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

– I bought this blue tie-dyed tee a few weeks ago and it has quickly become the most worn item in my closet. It might actually be the softest t-shirt I’ve ever owned and the blue color is perfection. Not to mention, I feel like the tie-dye is a modern take on a trend that can easily go wrong. I highly recommend this beauty (if a tee can be beautiful) for its fit, softness and playful trendiness – it definitely works for a more relaxed vibe in the summertime.
– Remember my post on decorating with palm fronds? Well, I finally found some affordable options at Hobby Lobby yesterday. Last night on Instagram I shared the banana leaf look but I also found some fan palms as well (I don’t see them available online so check your local stores). I was able to find great options at Michael’s too but they were more expensive and I haven’t found them on any of their sales recently (the ones at Hobby Lobby were half off, making them only $4.50 each)! You also get a little preview of how the dining room makeover is coming along. I finally ordered a light (you can see my options here and here) so I should have a reveal ready soon!

– Over the weekend while my parents were here, my mom and I did a lot of shopping (shocker, I know). We ran into Anthropologie, mostly to seek reprieve from a torrential downpour, but I found a lot of things I really liked. That store can be hit or miss for me – sometimes the styles just feel a little too boho and cool for anything I could manage to pull off. Long story short, I found this Santorini Eau De Parfum that I fell in love with. I have a really hard time with perfumes and tend to avoid them altogether. They also had a rollerball oil version if you can’t commit to a full bottle of the perfume. The scent is described as: top notes of sea salt and beach rose mingle with crisp lily over a driftwood base. For me, it just smelled clean and pretty, reminded me of the beach, and didn’t give me a headache within five minutes. Win-win 😉
– As a kid, huarache sandals were some of my all-time favorites so it’s not surprise that I am happy to see them back this season! I found this pair of Cognac Huarache Sandals, and given their price (under $20 not on sale) I may be able to afford them in all three colors! I also really love this pricier Harlow Huarache Mule version from J. Crew (which is on sale but still not cheap).
– I was asked last-minute to step in for another officer for our company trip to Italy next month and we’ll spend just over a week in Florence and the Tuscany region. Rough for me, right? Since the trip is only about a month out it feels incredibly surreal at this point. We’ve been to Tuscany once before (you can read about it here) and I’m excited to get to go back to spend more time in one of my favorite places on earth. I can pretty much guarantee I’ll be having several movie marathons over the coming weeks to remind me just how much I love Italy (like I really need a reminder). My top favorites that showcase Italy (even if some are cheesy) are: Under the Tuscan Sun, Letters to Juliet, and When In Rome. Any other movies and/or books I need to be sure to check out? I’ve heard Beautiful Ruins is really good. Have you read it? Would you recommend it?
