I used this cute purse for dinner one night in the Bahamas but never got a picture with it! It’s cute and perfect as an evening bag (definitely not big enough as a beach tote).

What I Wore to Baha Mar in the Bahamas
A few weeks back, we headed to Baha Mar (Rosewood) in the Bahamas for Kurtis’ company trip. Every year for this trip, I tend to splurge on quality items (usually at Tuckernuck) that I know can carry me through the entire spring and summer seasons – particularly now that we live at the beach! Some of the items were also carryovers from our catamaran trip, but are still available.
I’m no fashion blogger, but I tried to be good about having Kurtis take my picture at various times throughout the trip to show my outfits. Unfortunately, most were at night (or I was telling him to hurry because someone was coming) – ha! So the quality isn’t ideal, but I wanted to be sure to share these cute outfit finds with you!
For the welcome reception, I wore this dress from a new-to-me brand – Spartina 449. I actually ordered it off of a catalog I received in the mail. I’m in the XL and using this cute woven fish purse with it. On my wrist, you’ll see my darling room key bracelet, Apple watch and hair tie – all of which I forgot to remove 😉

The next morning was the business meeting portion of the trip. I wore this striped Jackie dress. I absolutely love these dresses from Tuckernuck. I now have three (two were deeply discounted at their last sample sale). I prefer the XL on me because there is zero stretch and it adds a little length. I’m 5’9″ with a very long torso, and this is one of the few short dresses they sell that doesn’t feel too short on me.

The first few days were a bit rainy and chilly. My number one favorite purchase of the year is this Varley set I bought before our catamaran trip. They are a big splurge for casual clothes, but my cost-per-wear is pretty low at this point 😉 The fabric on this is next-level, so flattering, and has washed and worn so well. I am a major fan of theirs now! I take a Large in the top and XL in the shorts.

That evening was our regional dine around event. Our group of 75+ went to Graycliff Restaurant, the only time Kurtis and I had dinner off property. If you want a dress that literally everyone will comment on, this yellow lace maxi dress is it. It is super comfortable (I’m in XL but the L also fit me – but this has no stretch either). I just wish we could have gotten a better picture of it!

I continue to sing the praises of Summersalt suits. Ever since owning a pool in Omaha, I refuse to skimp on swimsuits. Quality over quantity is the name of the game for me. I’m in the long torso version of this swimsuit, but it also comes in regular lengths. These sidestroke styles are so flattering on all body types – and the bow!!!

That evening was the cocktail reception and awards ceremony. It’s really hard to pick a favorite find, but this organza and feather trim dress is right up there! The fabric is thicker and incredibly flattering that that detail around the hem is just beyond. I am in an XL. Again – another one I wish we had gotten a better picture of!

My outfit for the flamingo parade! Such a fun event at the Baha Mar!

That next evening we had dinner with Kurtis’ boss and peers and their wives. We ate at Shuang Ba on property, and it was one of our best meals of the trip! Plus that sat us in a private room with a round table. It was amazing that all 12 of us could easily have a conversation together! Least flattering photo of the trip! I ordered this chambray dress in XL, as I do with Tuckernuck particularly for the length, but I really needed to get the L because there was a lot of extra fabric. But this is such a darling dress for spring!

This is the only picture I got of Kurtis and I together but I’m also wearing this gauze cover-up that I love so much! The length is great (and is longer in the back than front), so soft, and nice and airy.

Our final evening we went out for sushi on property with the friends we had rented a boat with earlier in the day. It was such an enjoyable evening! This striped caftan was another favorite! The large was a smidget too tight for me in the chest and shoulders, so I went with the XL. But the body is very loose, so I would say it fits true to size otherwise. I wear these Waterproof Bangles nearly every time we go out at home and they also got a lot of use on the trip. I’ve had them a few years and they’re still a favorite! I love that you can wear them to the beach or pool, too!

That wraps up my outfits from the Bahamas! Or at least the ones I remembered to take pictures of!
