2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites

One of the greatest shopping days of the year is finally here! The 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has arrived for cardholders (it opens to the public next Friday). It’s one of the only pre-season sales out there, so you can buy your fall staples up to 40% off before the season starts! The sale opens at 11:30 am Central so I’m publishing this post a little early so you have time to peruse the items before checkout opens. If you’re a cardholder, you’ll need to make sure you’re logged in, and then at 11:30 you’ll be able to start adding the items to your cart. You should be able to click through the items at any time, regardless if you’re a cardholder or not! Prices go back up on August 5th.

And over the next week or two, I’ll share some of my favorites as well as a try-on session of what I end up ordering. Today I’m sharing my top picks for women’s fashion, shoes/boots, beauty and home decor. Then, next week I’ll share fit tips, etc. for all of my favorite finds! Navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can definitely be overwhelming. Especially since things and sizes/colors tend to sell out quickly! I’ve tried to narrow it down to the best of the best from my first review of the sale items, since there was definitely a lot I wasn’t interested in. Following are my top 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks across several categories. I’ll probably continue to add to this page over the next hour or so, since I was only able to search the site with limited access (especially to colors and patterns) prior to the sale going live at 11:30 CST.

Following are a few quick favorites and then I’ll break down even more favorites within each category.

2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Women’s Fashion Favorites

During the sale, I try to look for staples I can use for years to come. Some of my favorite finds in past years have been cardigans, jeans, and other basics. It’s hard to think about fall clothes when it’s 90 degrees outside, so I stick with what I know I’ll love come fall time, and steer clear of the items that feel overly trendy.

• This utility jacket will be the first thing going in my cart. I have a feeling this one will sell out quickly. Not only is it super cute but the price is so good! I couldn’t ever get into the sherpa trend last year, so I love that they kept it just on the inside since it’s so soft!
• This dress may be the cutest I’ve seen in awhile and it’s from Eliza J – I always love their fit!
• I’m in love with this sleeveless top (I’m ordering yellow) that can be worn now and then under a blazer or long cardigan in the fall!
• I was so excited to see this new short-sleeve version of my favorite Barefoot Dreams cardigan! Perfect on fall days with a long sleeve tee or when you just don’t need the full warmth of the long sleeve cardigan version! I’m excited to try some of their lounge wear this year, as well.
• I may give these jeans a try. I’ve heard they work wonders for curvier women!
• And, my favorite stretchy waist jean brand has quite a few items in the sale this year too. I might give this high-waist pair a try.
• This belted lace top has the potential to be a total stunner!
• I’ve heard rave reviews about this pajamas line so I’m planning to buy a set this year. I’m just trying to decide if I got the shorts route or long route!

I honestly try not to buy any fall or winter shoes outside of this sale because it’s the only time I can seem to find items on sale and fully stocked. They always offer such a beautiful collection of booties, boots and flats. It can be so hard to narrow down favorites in this category!

• I haven’t bought a new pair of tall boots in a few years, and these brown knee high boots (they also come in black and wide-calf options) stopped me in my scroll. Tons of colors and options without the suede, as well! So beautiful!
• I bought these booties last year, and they were one of my favorite purchases of the year!

2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Favorites

• My favorite makeup setting mist (with SPF!) comes with a free carry-on size bottle in this kit. Which is perfect, because this item is always one of my first to go in my suitcase when I’m traveling – especially to hot and humid locations since it also controls shine!
• I bought a T3 hair dryer last year during the sale and I absolutely love it. I have a lot of hair and it definitely helps cut down on drying time and my hair looks smoother (I always use the attachment). They have this hair dryer included in the sale this year!
• This is the only time I buy my favorite face wash and the bottle lasts me a whole year!

2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Home Decor Favorites

This is a great time of year to stock up on throws and candles. Here are a few other things worth mentioning.

• I love this genius marble and wood lazy susan. So perfect for entertaining. We love having one on our back patio table!
• This cozy throw blanket has been a fan favorite for years – and has over a thousand positive reviews! It comes in tons of colors (we have ivory), is super soft and is great for home or as a gift!
• I bought this chunky knit throw last year in the ivory and it was by far the best price I’d seen for this type of throw.
• I can’t tell you how many of these candles I’ve gone through over the years. It’s by far my favorite scent!
