Welcome to our early fall home tour! It’s hard to believe it’s already that time a year again, but I’ve teamed up with Marty from A Stroll Thru Life along with 29 other talented bloggers to share our home with you. If you’re stopping in from Seeking Lavender Lane, welcome! I’ve known Deb for a few years and always love following along with all of her home updates (and current new build)! This year she’s sharing fall inside the cute camper she’s living in with her family until her new home is built!
This year, I kept our fall decor to a minimum. This isn’t uncommon, as I always have a hard time packing away the summer items and saying goodbye to my favorite season. Admittedly, this year was a bit easier, as our weather has felt like fall for a few weeks now. I hope you enjoy the simple updates we’ve made in our home! Let’s start the tour!

My husband and I just completed a massive kitchen renovation in July. If you’re new here, you can read about our full coastal kitchen remodel which includes all sources, paint colors, etc. We’re absolutely loving the new space and it was fun to add a few new touches to the room for fall.
When I say I kept this year’s decor simple, I really mean simple! I added a bunch of faux olive stems to our kitchen vase (similar here) and a faux olive topiary under the window and basically called it a day! I figured since this rooms adjoins our living room, I could pull more of the fall vibes from there.
Here’s the view while standing in the living room. I love that our basket pendant lights pair so nicely with the warm brown textiles in the living room!
FALL KITCHEN SOURCES: Basket Pendant Lights | Bistro Counter Stools | Similar White Ceramic Vase | Faux Olive Stems | White Dutch Oven | Lemongrass Ginger Soap Set | Cabinet Bin Pulls | Cabinet Knobs | Runner Rug
We also made some recent updates in our living room, with a new fireplace and surround. I swapped out our usually blues and greens for some warm browns and blue-grays with this patterned pillow and Belgian linen pillow. I love the new warmer look for the colder months ahead!
I also updated our gallery wall with some black and white photos I took in Italy over the years. They not only remind us of some of our favorite vacations, but also pair well with all the olive stems I’ve been using this season in our decor!
I received this gorgeous faux cypress tree from a local boutique after I kept stalking it! I love that I can use it in the fall and winter months (and even decorate it for Christmas)!
This is Bearcat. He was pouting because I kicked him off the back of the sofas no less than 20 times while I was trying to take pictures. He snuck in here when I was on the other side of the room and figured I had enough images at that point and left him 😉
FALL LIVING ROOM SOURCES: Linen Sofa | Spindle Chair (similar here) | Chunky Knit Blanket | Gallery Wall Frames (similar here) | Lamps | Similar Black Cabinet | Wood Dough Bowl | Bronze Linen Pillow | Patterned Pillow | Coffee Table | Similar Oversized Wood Chain | Topiaries | Large Woven Basket | Faux Cypress Tree – Amethyst Home
Moving upstairs, I’ve only updated one of the bedrooms for fall at this point. I mixed up some of the bed linens with items I already had on hand, adding in a pretty lumbar pillow with velvet stripe that I picked up at HomeGoods recently. I also added some old faux oak leaves to the bedside vase.
Super basic updates, but now that I have one bedroom done, I’m motivated to move on to the others!
FALL GUEST BEDROOM SOURCES: Wood Cane Bed | Chandelier | Paisley Pillows | Similar Velvet Striped Pillow | Reversible Quilt | Similar Round Mirror | Rug | Similar Roman Shades | Wood Nightstand | Navy Blue Linen Lamp

Loving the Fall Tour and the green and blue in the bedroom. Happy Fall!
Looks absolutely gorgeous. I’m obsessed with the faux cypress tree and Bearcat knows that he is a great accessory to the room. So cute
Bearcat knows that he coordinates with the decor. He is just helping you. Everything looks very welcoming. The kitchen is number 1. Great job!
I absolutely love your kitchen and family room makeover. The kitchen is totally a dream and the new mantel really changed the look of the family room. Such a gorgeous space, and I love the new color scheme too. Thanks so much for joining the tour, your home is always such a delight with tons of inspiration.
Love all the updates! I’m having a question about the Palma Pillow Cover – it says the SKU isn’t valid. Have never seen that message before.
Thank you! And that is so weird on the pillow cover – it seems to be working for me. I do see that it’s backordered (only until tomorrow) so maybe they were making that update while you were trying to add it? I hope that helps 🙂
Thanks Sarah, that must have been problem as it’s working now.
Bearcat has quite the life in your gorgeous home….and that kitchen!!!!!
Your kitchen is absolutely stunning! The basket pendants are perfection!
Love your kitchen remodel. That window you added makes all the difference!! I’m looking into getting the sofa from pottery barn. How long have you had yours and is the slipcover easy to wash? Thank you for sharing your home 🙂
Cindi
So sorry for the delay! We’ve had ours nearly a year now. We haven’t had to wash them yet because they have cleaned up with water every single time we’ve spilled something! Here’s my full six month review if you’re interested: https://lifeonvirginiastreet.com/2018/03/pottery-barn-york-sofa-review/
