Another Wednesday is upon us, so it’s time for the third installment of the Wednesday Watch List. If you’re new here, this post consists of things I found interesting/inspiring/buy-worthy, etc. throughout the week. Hopefully you’ll find something that catches your eye as well!
1 – I’ll tell you what, this little device has become a second part of me and I literally never take it off. But that’s not the reason I want to post about it. I bought mine last August {honestly to track my sleep, because I KNEW I wasn’t active enough to track activity}. Anyways, on our cruise earlier this year, mine stopped working {I’m guessing because of the salt water, although it said it should be okay}. Long story short, I just got around to contacting Fitbit and they were incredibly helpful in troubleshooting. When it was apparent that it wasn’t coming back to life, they shipped me a new one, no questions asked, and I had it within three business days. Now that’s service! Now I just need their line with Tory Burch {I blogged about it here} to come out so it’s a bit more stylish!

2 – I know this may come as a complete and utter shock to you {insert sarcasm font here} but I’ve already changed my inspiration for the craft room makeover. About 12 days from when I have to have it finished. Some of the elements will remain the same, but my new inspiration is the home that has inspired so many of my projects in the past: Spring Lane designed by Tiek Built Homes and Caitlin Creer. If you haven’t virtually toured this home in the past {even though I’ve mentioned it at least a thousand times ;)}, you are in for a treat! You will see a lot of elements from this room specifically in the craft room makeover, which will be revealed next Friday!

3 – I always find it interesting as the season change, which pins on Pinterest start driving traffic to my website again. The secret is out – a few dashes of this product once a month on all my planters and the results are AMAZING! I heard about it from my mom and likely won’t go back. I typically water the planters daily {or every other day} if we haven’t received much rain, and then add more of the plant food once a month. It’s really crazy just how much of an impact it has when I use it on my planters. I share more images and tips in this post about our courtyard if you’re interested – it’s been a hot pin lately on Pinterest. It’s insane just how drastic the results are with one little product and how much my plants flourish! The photos below were taken about ten weeks apart last summer. Crazy right?!
4 – A while back, I won a gift card on Pawleys Island Posh to Lulu & Georgia. I went back and forth on what to select – so many options. I finally pulled the trigger on my shopping cart about a month ago and this candle ended up being one of my purchases {mine is in the colorblock tin as shown in the photo below but they also offer a glass holder if you prefer}. Coconut milk and mango? I’m pretty sure I can’t think of a better combo or more enticing smell in the summer. This thing is burning daily in our house!

5 – Grilling season is upon us {yessss!!!!} Another pin that I have seen a lot of interest in is this post {even though the photos on the post are not great} with two recipes for fish on the grill – one for salmon and the other for halibut. I am not exaggerating when I say these are the best two recipes we have ever tried. The halibut one is my favorite but they are both phenomenal. If you are a fish eater, you have to give these a try {the halibut recipe would likely work on any white fish}.
If you would like to follow along on more of my home decor, DIY and random posts feel free to follow me on any of the following – I’d love to have you along for the ride!

Sorry about that – I literally just moved my blog to WordPress this morning so some of the links are still backfilling. Here’s the info you need: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ARDELDW/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00ARDELDW&linkCode=as2&tag=lifonvirstr-20&linkId=UXDVGX563NPYEEJO.

They actually came with our house, but I believe I have seen very similar ones at Lowe’s (they are roman shades).

What types of plants are in your beautiful containers?
Sarah says
Thank you! The planters have yucca (the tall spiky plants), impatiens and coleus. There are a few other random vines in the planter as well, but they don’t seem to thrive quite as much.
Susan says
Hey your fertilizer is chemical based. How about a more organic fertilizer like compost?
Sarah says
I would be totally open to that too! Maybe I’ll get that a try this year. I actually don’t use Osmocote on my herb garden for that very reason. I prefer to use only natural ingredients there since I know we’ll be eating the plants.
