Typically, Nebraska does not get a ton of snow in a given winter (compared to what I am used to in Utah). You can always count on wind and freezing temperatures, but only two or three decent storms a year (with usually only a foot accumulation). This storm is not normal. We STILL have not left our house and it is STILL snowing. The husband is working on our driveway this morning because we would really like to go OUT to dinner tonight! Check this out. Keep in mind our snow blower is a pretty good size (not one of those tiny ones). In a lot of places the snow is several inches taller than the snow blower and at the end of the driveway it comes up to hubby’s hips! You can also see the snow is as high as our front porch, three steps off the ground and across the street it comes up to the neighbors 6 foot fence in some areas.
All that for one pass down the driveway! This is one of those days you actually wished you did not have a three car garage.
Here is our back screen door. The kids do not like it when they can’t see out! Notice how high the snow is on the neighbors’ houses is! Our pine tree looks like it has been buried alive.
Maybe now it can be spring since Christmas is over and we have our requisite amount of snowfall for the year!!
