I am sharing with you my dream home which is perfect in every way!
As mentioned in my last post, we went to the 2012 Street of Dreams last night.  This is where I met my beloved dream home.  I have never seen a home more perfect for me.  The husband even had some hallucinogenic moments where we said we needed to go up and talk to the builder to see if the home had sold. Because he was going to buy it. I WISH! We actually toured this one twice {thankfully} so I have an abundance of photos {58 to be exact}. Unfortunately these don’t even come CLOSE to doing this knockout home justice. I have finally found a home that I feel is 100% me!
House #7 – Built by Absolute Customs – decorated/designed by Pearson & Company
Price: $750,000
Total Finished Sq. Feet: 5,460 – Ranch
From the moment you walk through the double-steel doors, you knew it would be an amazing home. The builder greeted us at the door and could not have been nicer or more helpful – and he ENCOURAGED me to take pictures {plus he offered to email me the professional photos later!!}.
These are looking back at the entryway from the living room. Â The wooden wine-barrel chandelier has been on my wish list for ages.
The first bedroom we went to – I knew it was going to be over-the-top amazing at this point. Â The details and design that went into this customized home are beyond words. This also had a Jack and Jill bath with a joint area leading to a spiral staircase up to a private playroom. My husband was seriously impressed at this point {call it the kid in him I suppose}.
Bedroom #2 – I LOVED that they brought in Omaha into this home. Â Many of the pieces throughout were from the Old Market, the former French Cafe, inspired by Joslyn Castle, etc.
The room at the top of the spiral staircase {shown above}.
The master bedroom – the faux wood beams above the bed were incredible. Â Also loved the pendant lights in lieu of lamps on the nightstand.
The master bathroom boasted a standalone tub and a walk-through shower.
There were two identical vanity areas on each side of the walk-in/walk-through shower.
We loved the built-in drawers and seasonal storage, along with marble counter top, in the master closet. Â This only shows one half of the closet, as the other half is behind where I was standing to take a picture. Â To my left leads into the laundry room. Â I never liked homes where the master closet was connected to the main laundry. Â However, this home was an exception because the laundry was in the bedroom wing, NOT connected to the mudroom/garage area.
Back to the main floor living area. Â Prepare to have jaws dropped. Â The living room was UNBELIEVABLE. Â The built in entertainment nook had sliding rustic ‘barn door’ shutters so that they could be closed to hide the shelving. Â The shelves behind are the dark wood and the shutters where the antiqued white. And that staircase area with all the windows feels like a figment of my imagination.
I love the elevated rustic country aesthetic!
Before going to the kitchen, I will take you through that archway you see above which leads to the powder room, a desk area – great for paying bills, etc. Straight back is the entrance to the 4-car garage. Â To the right {down the hallway} is the walk-through pantry. Â Easy access to the garage as well as a hidden cabinet door to the kitchen.
I loved the herringbone travertine down this hallway.
The powder room was beautiful as well.
The double desk nook in between the garage, pantry and kitchen.
I didn’t get a shot of the walk-through pantry. Now we will head back to the kitchen and dining area, which also leads out to an amazing covered deck complete with surround sound.  If you look closely in the kitchen photos, you can see the walk-though pantry.  From the kitchen side it shows the doors open, but when they are closed, it looks like cabinet doors. I love that it leads through all the way to the garage entrance for easy grocery loading.
As you can see above, my husband was 99.99% sold at this point. Â It would have been 100% if they had a flat screen over the fireplace. What pushed him to 7,000.00%? Let’s travel down the amazing staircase.
Where does that half staircase lead, you ask? The part in the home that officially made the men tell their wives they were okay if they bought the house.
To the left of that staircase is another gathering room. Â You can also look out onto the basketball court out the three large windows.
And the room that tipped the husband to 4,587,928% sold = the theater {which was impossible to photograph, but AMAZING}. This sat to the left of the wine cellar/storm shelter.
Off the gathering room is a hallway that leads to the 4th bedroom {which was an exercise room}. Â It also had a Jack and Jill bath that led to bedroom #5.
I love the stick that was used for the curtain rod in bedroom #5:
The hallway to bedroom #5 – which leads back to the staircase. Â Photo taken from each direction:
You can see a door in these photos that leads out to the backyard which had an amazing pergola right when you stepped out {which you can overlook from the master suite} as well as a sunken, built-in firepit. I also included a shot from the brochure of the back of the home while they were building it.
It’s safe to say this gorgeous house has ruined me for all other homes.  I’ve read  a lot of research that says if you write your goals down they are much more likely to occur.  Let it be stated: this house {or a version of it} will be mine some day! The end.

Hello, beautiful house! Did the $750,000 build price include the cost of the land? Thanks a lot ahead of time.
Sarah says
Yes – I believe it did include the lot, as well! Land is fairly affordable in Nebraska 🙂
