When it comes to decorating and design, I find that I like too may styles.  You may not think that is a bad thing, but when you try to incorporate multiple styles into one house and/or room, it just doesn’t work.  Lately I have been trying to hone in on the one style {or select few} that I really love.  I looked at our home and the rooms I love most.  I love our master bedroom and the calming feel with only two or three colors at work.  When I looked through hundreds of online galleries I really liked the calm, monotone rooms best with little pops of bright colors in the accents.  I wouldn’t have guessed this based upon my initial thoughts.
I have long wanted walnut colored hardwood floors throughout our main living area {but quickly changed my mind when I realized what it would cost}.  I love nothing more than dark hardwood floors with crisp, white kitchens and cabinetry {and small amounts of beadboard}.  I find I am really drawn to those settings where there is small doses of lime green {in the plants, fruit, topiaries, etc. in the room}.
So, one mission down.  I know what I want in a kitchen.  It will likely be many years before we ever move {if ever} so I plan to hang on to these photos for inspiration for our next home {or whatever renovation I will do if we stay here forever}.
Check out these amazing kitchens:
