– Do you ever get lost on Pinterest? I have a tendency to see an image I like, click it, and then get lost exploring the designer/decorator/architect on who’s page I’ve landed. It is such a great way to find consistency in styles and looks you love. I stumbled upon this image on Pinterest and love the inspiration it provided for our courtyard {this look would be my dream space down the road}. But little did I know the beautiful home tour it would take me on, which then led me to the gorgoue site of Eric Olsen Design. Pretty much loved every single space I stumbled upon.
– I think I may have finally found a flush mount solution to replace the ceiling fan in our living room – this light. It is an amazing look-a-like to the lllll and it also comes in a chandelier version for those interested. They are both much more affordable options of the popular Sausalito lights. I’ve been looking for a drum shade flush-mount that is substantial in width but doesn’t too low. Any other options I should take into consideration?
– At Haven earlier this year, there was a session on decorating and Courtney from A Thoughtful Place mentioned marble contact paper. I had never heard of it before, but from the way several other ladies raved about it, I figured it was something I needed to try. I have a counter top in our mudroom that is Formica and is a small square – serving only as a countertop. It is currently dark, and I think this may be the perfect place to give the paper a try. The deal was officially sealed when I saw this makeover from Megan at Honey We’re Home’s amazing project. Megan used this paper and I found another {cheaper} alternative* with great reviews on Amazon. Would I use in on kitchen counters or a high-traffic bathroom? Probably not. But it sounds like a great alternative for smaller countertops and furniture makeovers!
– This fall project from Chelsea at Making Home Base might just be one of my favorites ever for fall! Think of all the color combos {and metallics!} you could use to customize this project for your space. So easy too. I definitely plan to give this one a try. If you haven’t already checked out our 100 Fall Projects tour, there is even more inspiration from where this came from!
– We’ve got a trip planned next week, and since it’s also my birthday week / birthday month, I feel that entitles me to some new clothes. I know this is so “last season” but I’m digging these two faux-leather embellished tops from J. Crew Factory. They may be just what I’ve been looking for!
