I am not really a big fan of Valentine’s Day – in fact I will just come out and say that I think it is a stupid holiday. However, the colors for this holiday are irresitible and it makes me feel that spring is much closer. I may find myself doing a little decorating with simple ideas from Martha Stewart like these:

I think this looks so pretty and all it is is melted crayons – even your kids could make these. Directions found here at Martha Stewart if you are interested. I love how the light shines through them when hung by a window. This homemade soap can be found the same place. And I love the adorable bookmark!

I love this idea from Martha for Valentines for the cats. You fill the hearts with catnip and then sew them up for them to play with. I’m sure our cats could not ask for a better Valentine gift. I also like the human treat ideas: You buy store-bought chocolate and then make your own wrapping and put a message inside – this on is so pretty. And I really love the packaging on these see-through Valentines:

These “postcard” mugs from bailey doesn’t bark are also adorable:

For the most romantic blog you have ever seen, check out the cherry blossom girl – it makes you want to be in Paris. Her blog just exudes French-ness (is that a word?), prettiness and romance and is sometimes so fun to look at if you want to feel extra girly (not to mention her shoe collection is to die for).
