I have been searching for the perfect desk for my computer literally for years. We have been using one the husband got in college that is very functional and has a lot of space, but I have been wanting something much more stylish and something that is more of a “project table” than traditional desk. I have found nothing like what I pictured in my mind, or if I have, it will set me back a thousand dollars or more. The husband and I have been searching for parts to make a desk and we finally found them today. We ordered some railing end pieces (that you would use on a staircase) and a door that we are going to use as the desk top. I am so excited to start it (once everything comes in).
The best part is, when we came home from the lumber store and gym, I had an email from Pottery Barn with the following desk. It is nearly identical to what we are building (mine will be deeper though because we ordered a 36″ wide door) but costs $599. Now I am even more excited to start our project!
