Silver Sage

The Restoration Hardware Silver Sage paint color looks beautiful in our bathroom.

Restoration Hardware Silver Sage Paint with West Elm Gray striped shower curtain.

A few weeks back, I painted our main bathroom {to see all of its prior colors go here}. I knew I wanted to go lighter and brighter.  I had a gallon of Restoration Hardware’s Silver Sage paint from their last sale {I knew I would use it eventually – I just wasn’t sure where}.  I had read on Pinterest about an easy trick to cover your toilet {and still be able to paint behind} was to cover it in foil.  It worked like a charm!  I also decided to ditch our towel bar {which we had previously done in our master bath} and replaced it with four hooks – so much more functional!  Some progress shots:

Paint can, protecting the toilet from paint, and taping the walls for preparation.

And here is how it ultimately turned out.  The shower curtain is from West Elm. It’s tough to take a good photo in such a small room! I really like the lighter look and feel. The silver sage paint color feels very earthy, inspired by nature! At some point, if I get overly ambitious, I may paint the bathroom cabinet white {and swap out the countertop}. Some day!

I love the hooks in place of the towel rack.

Where did you get your towel holder! I just love it!

The towel holder above the toilet is from a store in Utah called Rod Works {there are a few locations}. The towel hooks are from Lowe’s.
