Powder Bath Refresh

Room Makeovers + Design Plans

A few weeks back, I did a quick powder bath refresh. I found a new mirror at HomeGoods that helped lighted the space up, I rotated the existing light fixture to point upwards, and I replaced the prior orangish bulb colors with clear seeded glass versions. Now don’t get all excited – this room is the worst to photograph and it still has a lot of work ahead of it. I’ve hesitated sharing it for a while because it still feels kinda blah {and looks even worse in photos}, but for now, I feel much better about this lighter and fresher space!

You may slightly remember the space when we first walked-through the house. Definitely much more orange-toned at the time:

Even with the light-shade change-up, it is still reading very warm in here even though the paint color is the same as most of our entire main level {Behr Castle Path}. I think I am going to have to take it even more gray-toned at some point. Eventually, I’d like to paint the cabinets a deep grey, get a light colored solid surface countertop and replace that tile trim {it is the same tile they used on the backsplash in our kitchen}. And if I’m really dreaming, I’d love some sconce lights added and a tall skinny mirror over the vanity.

We’ll get there some day 😉 Lastly, there are still a few hours left to enter the Signature Style giveaway for your chance to win over $1,200 worth of amazing items. There will be five winners to share in all the goodness.  Don’t miss out if you haven’t entered yet!

My powder room is the same – very warm. I was just thinking a paint change might be in order soon! I love that mirror though, great update!

Bathrooms are SO hard to photograph! And hard to freshen up…..I think the vanity would look great painted a darker color….it will blend with the countertop:) Love that mirror though!
