Plaid Christmas Tablescape

Christmas, Entertaining and Party Ideas, Tablescapes

Is anyone else in shock that it’s already December? Summer came to an end and suddenly it feels like Christmas-time, which is crazy!

Today I’ve teamed up with the Styled and Set entertaining crew, hosted by Designthusiasm, to share a bit of holiday entertaining. If you’re stopping in from Finding Home Farms, welcome!

After Wednesday’s post, I promised you prettier and styled photos of our new dining room hutch. So, I’ll get right to it!

Plaid Christmas Tablescape in a neutral dining room with driftwood like finishes. Love the Darlana Linear Pendant and the Behr Silver Drop Walls!

I picked up the hutch a few weeks ago at Nebraska Furniture Mart on clearance. Unfortunately, it has since sold out, but for those curious it’s the Chimeneas Andover Bookcase (I can’t find it anywhere else online so NFM is seeing if they can get more in stock – I’ll keep you posted!).

In addition to the new hutch we got this past week, I styled a fun plaid Christmas tablescape to share with you today. If you’ve read here awhile, you know I love food, so when I plan a tablescape, I make sure there is plenty of room for what’s important: the food!

I picked up the navy plaid placemats at HomeGoods recently and they were the foundation for the look. I’m all about plaid and buffalo check this holiday season and I couldn’t resist buying them (especially so cheap).

As you can see, this year I’m going with bold colors and lots of plaid and buffalo check in my Christmas decor.

My Lindsay Letters ‘O Come Let us Adore Him’ adds such a beautiful graphic punch to the otherwise traditional room. I find myself becoming more and more obsessed with her pieces when the holidays approach. And this one completes our dining room! For those curious, mine is the white 30″x38″ with the white float frame.

I love the calming, yet preppy plaid vibe of our dining room this year. You can shop most of the pieces below.

Beautiful! I love the hutch and think the size is perfect for your space. How many of the faux juniper pine cone bundles are you using in your vase?

Thank you so much! Mine faux pines are actually from Hobby Lobby but I couldn’t find them online so I linked to the closest thing I could find. I actually only have four in my vase because they were pretty large. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they were 50% off this week! 🙂
