I am about to start painting the staircase from our main level up to the bonus room {the one area I did not complete when I re-painted the main level}.  Not only are the ceilings REALLY high but there isn’t much room for a ladder – let’s just say, it will be interesting.  The last photo shows the new color on the right in the bonus room {Behr Nile Sand}.  I am going to use that down the staircase rather than bring the Benjamin Moore Rattan from the main floor up the stairs.  Not the most dramatic change but in my mind the fresh paint will make a world of difference!

This area really is hard to decorate but it is so boring right now. I am thinking of decorating with a photo gallery.  Do you think it would work?  Should I do all three walls or just the center wall?  Should I go all the way to the top? Here are some beautiful photo gallery staircase inspiration photos!

Or do I just do a set of frames like these in not such a random pattern?  What do you think would look best?

I would love to finish it all off with a lantern light like Biscayne Chandelier from Pottery Barn.  This is the only place in our house we can hang a big light thanks to the ceiling height here.
