Outlet shopping online can be a source of many great deals!

Thanks to the ghetto-fab outlet malls we have in Nebraska, I have always loved to travel to various cities and visit their much nicer outlets {hello, California?!?}  Heck, even Iowa seems impressive next to ours and my sister-in-law and I make regular shopping outings to visit.  I am not a believer that outlets have good deals {perhaps with the exception of Coach} ~ however, I love that a lot of stores make outlet-only styles so it brings a whole new set of clothes to the table.

Outlet Online Stores

Recently several outlets have started online stores.  My recent fave is J.Crew {which is only open online on the weekends – the link can then be found on jcrew.com when the store is open}.  I scored some killer clothing deals last week {there was an additional 40% off your whole purchase plus free shipping}.  For less than $200, I got two sweaters, two skirts, a dress {which is one of the cutest I have found and it was less than $17 with the additional 40% off – see below}, two tank tops, a long sleeve shirt and a t-shirt.  The two skirts were almost half the bill – one is likely going back {I need some for upcoming work trips} so that tells you how cheap all the other items were {I think the sweaters were like $14}.  The striped boatneck, although cute, is going back too – it is way to boxy and big and I only ordered a medium. Here’s just a sampling of the cute items at great prices:

A yellow sweater.
A grey dress.
A striped pink and white sweater.

Today, I got an email that the Coach Factory is now online {although there is a countdown that says it closes in 40+ hours so it may be a temporary trial period}.  No more four hour drives to middle of nowhere Iowa for a purse!  They even are offering their additional 20% off your purchase that you can usually get in the stores.  The shopping deals here look pretty legit.

I am guessing {as seen with J.Crew} that most online outlets aren’t quite as cheap as visiting the real store, but if it means I spend $10 more to not drive four hours {each way} I may be convinced of online outlet perfection!

I’m off to the casino now for night number two making money with my little brother while he is in town visiting for business.  Maybe I can make enough for some more purchases!
