i am working on one of those seemingly endless projects this week. painting our entire main level (other than the bedrooms and bathrooms) as well as the two staircases that connect to the main floor. the husband was in portland, maine the first part of the week and flew today from the east coast all the way to orange county, california. i am hoping to have most of the project wrapped up before the week is over – he doesn’t even know i have started. although it seems like i am always working on re-doing something in our house, i really enjoy it. i have been stalking tons of designer and decorating websites this week – so much inspiration. the husband and i finally agreed on a paint color – probably not my first choice but i do really like it. the local pottery barn had a wall painted this color so it is much easier to envision when you see it life-sized rather than on a little swatch.
so, goodbye flesh-tone (a.k.a. pinkish) walls. hello benjamin moore rattan.
