New Bedding

I am looking for some new bedding and here is some of the inspiration I have found.

We are in dire need of new bedding. The kittens were not so kind to our current bedding set when we first got them (they are no longer allowed in our bedroom).

The last few months have been a little cold only using a sheet. We are over the duvet phase – they are such a pain and the duvet itself never lines up right with duvet cover. So, we are in need of an actual comforter. Unfortunately, there are not many cute ones out there in a California King size (and it is REALLY hard to find actual comforters/bedspreads rather than duvet covers), especially in the California King size.

Bedding Inspiration

Here are a few cute ones I have found. Let me know if you have any good suggestions of stores or websites that carry California Kings (even a coverlet would be fine). We are looking for a pale blue/dark brown color combo (love how calming and serene it seems) but any other cute ones will do. Let me know what you think of these:

Kohls (love the sheets that go with it too – and they are a bargain!): Soft blue, brown bedding on a bed.

I love the soft baby blue with the brown, they go so well together.
JCPenney:
White, teal and dark brown comforter on a bed.
This ultra luxe bedding would go perfect in our bedroom!   The blue is more of a teal and has a very sophisticated look to it.
Dillards:
Dark red and soft gray bedding a lots of pillows. The dynamic colors may be more than I am looking for in my bedroom however I do like the combination.
Bed Bath & Beyond:  The dark brown and the neutral creamy off white looks gorgeous together!
Dark brown and cream bedding.
Bed Bath & Beyond #2:  Still a beautiful favorite, more of the soft baby blue and the dark brown.  I love the contrast!
Light blue duvet and pillows.
Bed Bath & Beyond #3:  I love the subtle pattern in the dark brown bedspread.
A very dark brown and white duvet.
Bed Bath & Beyond #4:  The chocolate brown bedspread with the patterned circles looks fresh and unexpected.
A dark brown duvet with a circle pattern in it.
Pottery Barn:  This is one of the coziest looks that I found, very soft and ethereal.
A very light blue and white blanket on a metal bed frame.

Dwell Studio (so cute but can’t afford the price tag):

A bright yellow and striped bedding.

Here is an old pic of our bedroom so you can at least see what our bed and furniture looks like (the headboard, footboard and bench at the foot of our bed are all dark brown leather). I also included a shot of the real lamps that are in there as the ones in the photo from 11/07 are no longer there. We don’t have the below bedding any longer either – the silk was so noisy and it was dry clean only so I never let us leave it on the bed. We are currently using a khaki linen Pottery Barn duvet cover minus the duvet. We still have nothing on our walls, so I am ready to give some personality to our room.
Also, do you think Navy Blue & White bedding would be cute? I have found tons of cute set in those colors but wasn’t sure if it would look right with our bed. Any suggestions are welcome!

Where did you find the set from JC Penny that is teal, dark brown and cream ( Name of set etc.) I am looking for something with those colors and I have cherry furniture which I believe will compliment it as well and does it come in a Queen? That would be my choice.

Hi! Unfortunately this post is 13 years old, so I don’t believe they carry it any longer. Thanks!
