One of the coolest sites ever: Knock Off Wood. Ana is a carpenter who lives in Alaska and loves to make plans for knock offs of famous furniture. She is clearly a Pottery Barn fan {isn’t everyone?} and has made super easy plans to make the furniture yourself for a fraction of the cost. She has plans for everything from beds, to entertainment centers to children’s town centers. The best part is, most don’t even require a saw – you can have Lowe’s or Home Depot cut to the measurements she provides and then you only have to assemble it! You can also send her requests to come up with a particular plan if you cannot find it on her website. I wish we had another guest room to decorate in our house – I would TOTALLY make this Farmhouse Canopy Bed {originally from Pottery Barn} – I love how versatile it is with different styles and the fact that the various stains can really changes its character:
