I’m starting a new series today that I’ve thought of doing for quite some time – Look for Less round-ups. After reading the results of my blog survey, I knew I didn’t want to delay any longer. You guys all seemed very supportive of the idea and many actually had it as their number one request. The reality is, my delays were due to the fact that I didn’t want to set up a template for the image. Pathetic, right?
So last night I sat down and forced myself to work on it because I knew once the template was ready, the posts would be the easy part! So today, I present my first Look for Less post – this one called Look for Less Lighting. I spend entirely too much time online virtually shopping, even if it means adding stuff to my cart, only to delete it.
Time and time again, I find designer looks at a fraction of the cost. As much as I would like to buy every single one of these deals, the reality is, I have a husband 😉 If a knock-off exists I basically consider it my own personal mission to find it. I could have gone all night with these, but I figured I had better save some until the next round. Enjoy! Simply click the linked numbers below the image to learn more about each item!

I hope you enjoyed this first round-up. You may recognize that #1 hangs in our mudroom and #7 hangs in our front entryway. I like a good deal!
I don’t know how frequently I’ll do these types of posts, but likely it will be as I come across enough items to talk about. If there are any other look for less category types you want to see in the future, let me know and I’ll start the research. I’ll also likely do some room recreations in the future where I find a room I love and then source some more affordable options to get the look.
If you would like to follow along on more of my home decor, DIY, lifestyle and other posts, I’d love to have you follow me on any of the following:

Wow! 1 and 2 and 7 and 8 look identical to each other! Great finds!
Well done, Sarah! I just pinned this to my Lighting board. #7 might have to find a place at my house!
Great post! I actually purchased #1 for our laundry room after reading about it in your Mudroom post.
Awesome finds, Sarah! Isn’t it amazing that just with a little searching you can find such good deals?!
I like this series! I’m always searching for looks for less too! And yes, it’s because I have a husband and future to think about. Plus I can’t fathom spending so much when there’s got to be more affordable options out there!
Love this post!!!! Thank you!
Where did you find #1? I don’t see any link or mention of where to buy them.
Thanks,
Kathryn
There is actually a link to each right below the image (just click the appropriate number). That one came from Overstock. Thanks!
Where did u find #5. Love it!
Thanks! It’s from Overstock. If you click the number under the image it will take you right to the exact light 🙂
Wow! Great finds! You just gave me new inspiration for my chandy search for the foyer! xx, b
I can’t seem to find the links to your great finds. I tried the numbers below the pics but nothing comes up. I’m really interested in #1 & 3.
Sorry about that! You may have to turn off your pop-up blocker for the links to work.
Great post! Getting ready to build a new house and I’m finding the lighting budget from builders isn’t very generous…this will help. On a side note, what did you use to create the template? I’ve had quite a few emails from people asking about different garden/summer porch items I have featured on my blog, and I’ve been trying to find an easy way to share that info with people.
Thank you! I actually use PhotoShop to create the image, so it’s pretty much all from scratch. I’ve heard Olioboard can do something similar and allows you to link within it. I hope that helps!
