Sorry for the silence over the past week. My husband and I took an amazing cruise around the Caribbean and we were gone for over a week. If you follow me on Instagram, you caught of glimpse of some of the fun we had as we visited Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, St. Maarten and St. Croix. Needless to say, the projects around here stalled while we took this much needed vacation. And as I mentioned here, things don’t slow down much for another month or two either. But, this will start my first installment of hotel tours I plan to do as I travel around {typically for business}. Not only may it help you make a selection in a particular city if you are looking to travel there, I will share some of my favorite design elements of each hotel I visit. And, as a side-note, Fabric Friday will be back this week now that I have returned to the US!
I’ll plan a full vacation post soon, and share some other projects I have been working on, but in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share some photos of our hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico – The Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino.
I thought the bright colors and clean design were a fun change of pace from your typical hotel rooms and would be fun to share here on the blog. It was the perfect place to stay for the night prior to our departure. The location wasn’t where we expected {I thought I had booked in Old San Juan but I chose this location on accident which was in a more industrial area} but it was near the cruise port and convention center and was a great mid-priced hotel with beautiful grounds. We loved the room, staff, fourth floor pool area as well as the views it afforded {including an infinity pool that overlooked the pier} and nearby restaurant, Ficus. Enjoy!
There were three of these driftwood covered walls in the lobby above the check-in desks. I LOVED the impact of the walls. However, there always seemed to be people around so I couldn’t capture a shot of the full effect.
The fourth floor pool area and views:
I hope you’ll enjoy this Hotel Tour series when the opportunity arises for me to share a newly visited hotel!
