Guest Bedroom Updated Reveal

I am excited to share with you my guest bedroom updated reveal with many beautiful decor details!

Guest bedroom with a wood bead chandelier, blue headboard, white bedding, and a linen and oak bench.

This post contains affiliate links for your shopping convenience. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

This weekend, we were able to install the wood bead chandelier in our queen guest bedroom. To see more on the prior ‘reveal’ on this room {as well as a full source list}, check out this post.

The corner of the guest bedroom with a wooden chair with a blue pillow on it, and a wooden chandelier above it.

Here is the inviting space now with the wooden chandelier and my IKEA hack on the Rast nightstand. I copied this one – except I used Behr Swiss Coffee paint in an eggshell finish since I already had some on hand {I still need to do another coat but didn’t want to hold up this post} as well as Minwax Wood Finish in Jacobean {I had a sample pot lying around}. The drawer pulls are from here {Lee Valley Plain Ring Pulls} – and they are spectacular. I couldn’t believe the low price and the fact that they shipped from Canada – all for such an affordable price!

White and brown window shades half drawn, a bed with a blue headboard and a round mirror behind it on the wall.
A nightstand with a ceramic lamp and white shade on it. A green topiary and clear glass vase.

get-the-look-tag

I love that the paint/stain on the nightstand mirrors the color on the roman shades. It is also nice to add some storage to this room {the prior pedestal table I had thrown in here wasn’t cutting it}. Not too shabby for an affordable IKEA wood dresser that used to look like this:

An ikea dresser in pieces before it is being assembled.
The assembled three drawer dresser.

As long as this room has taken to complete {because I’ve moved on to multiple other projects}, it’s hard to remember where we started.

A guest bedroom with dark cream walls and the painted room white with blue details.

These shots are from our walkthrough on the house, almost this exact time of year last year {that door open to the left by the headboard is the walk-in closet. We always keep the door shut, but it’s also the reason we can only have one nightstand}.

A four poster wooden bed with floral bedspread and floral rug.
A small room with a large four poster bed and floral bedspread on it.

Seeing these comparisons definitely makes me realize just how far we’ve come! I pretty much consider us ‘finished’ at this point because the remaining two items are going to take a lot of time {and obviously a paint sprayer}. I love where we are so far though!

Wooden chandelier, white bedspread, blue headboard and nightstand with a lamp in the guest bedroom.

Beautiful! This room is what brought me to your blog in the first place Sarah! Love the Dresser hack, so chic and the chandy is perfect for the space! BTW, where did you get the bench? I love it and am currently looking for one for my Dining room. Thanks! Also, love your profile pic – so pretty!

You know your guests are never going to want to leave right! I love the wall hangings they look like magazine racks or something, very creative and cool to have some different textures on the walls 🙂

This guest room looks amazing! I am obsessed with that style of chandelier – in fact, I wanted to include similar style pendants in our Silverleaf Estates model home, but was outvoted by the boys in the company! What do they know about light fixtures anyway 🙂
