Drapes & Light

Room Makeovers + Design Plans

As mentioned, we were able to get the new office drapes hung as well as the entryway light.

The drapes are from Overstock – the Cream Faux Silk Taffeta panels. One arrived stained so I had to have a new one shipped out. I also didn’t have the right rings to hang them so they are touching the floor too much – but we hung them, regardless, so I could ensure I liked them. They are very plain but I wanted something neutral until I decide how to decorate the room. But I couldn’t believe how the new drapes already opened the room up – it is amazing how longer panels make the room seem so much bigger!

The light looks great. It makes such a difference to go from a two-light fixture to a four-light fixture. It makes our entryway look so much brighter and less dingy {thanks to no more orange/brown tinted cover}. But man, those reviews were not kidding. It took well over two hours for me to attach all the crystals. The good news is the install was cakewalk.

We still have a LONG ways to go in each of these areas, but the small improvements each week keep me moving!

The new drapes look great- I think nothing opens up a room more than long white drapes! And I love the light fixture too- it’s gorgeous:)

I’m glad you enjoyed your trip to Colorado. It was nice meeting you and hanging out. I can’t believe everything you have been able to do around your house since you have been home. I really like the entry light!
