I am so excited March has finally arrived! This winter is (mostly) behind us and I’m looking forward to warmer months ahead! Today I’ve teamed up with Bree at ZDesign At Home, along with a carefully curated group of bloggers, to share part of my spring home tour with you! I love this group and feel like our styles are similar, but with each gal offering their own unique spin!
These past few months I’ve been in major purge mode. I have sold a ton of items in a local Facebook group and my theme has been all about simplifying and clearing all the clutter, both literally and figuratively. Today I’m sharing some of the spring touches I’ve added to our home, but I think you’ll quickly see the “decor” still is in line with my need to simplify. I haven’t added tons of seasonal additions, but rather, used our foundations and very lightly added spring colors. I’ll likely add a few more spring touches over the coming weeks, but for now I’m really loving the calm, peaceful vibe! Not to mention the lack of clutter! But, this also means no fresh flowers or an abundance of spring inspiration. But it still feels like spring to me!

Welcome to our home! In our entryway, things are pretty much status quo, but I did swap out the buffalo check rug I used in the fall and winter for this pretty blue vintage-vibe rug I got at HomeGoods. I just love the light that flows in during this time of year!

Our dining room has recently seen a lot of changes and I’m really excited with the progress made so far! Again, everything is very simple and clean, but I did swap up our throw pillows at the head chairs and added the dough bowl and moss balls to the table. I’m loving how our new striped rug looks this time of year!
I’m still loving our new hutch so much!

I haven’t really changed much at all in this guest bedroom, but I did bring the Doxology canvas that was previously in our entryway into the room. I’ve basically cleared out our entire entryway hallway of any decor so I can officially decide the direction I want to go. The guest bedroom was a lucky recipient of a cast-off! I’ll be sharing some more significant changes in our other guest bedroom next week so stay tuned! But in the meantime, I’m still loving this reversible coverlet at the end of the bed! The lumbar pillows are also reversible – I’m using the reverse side of the stock photo!

I recently purged my craft room / TV room (you can read more here) and I can’t even tell you how much better I feel now that this room isn’t crazy town central. I still have some work to do, like getting artwork on the walls and a few other tasks (painting the window trim and doors) but I love the fresh vibe here currently! The navy and cream plaid pillows are from HomeGoods.

I hope you enjoyed this brief glimpse into our spring home! I’m definitely loving the lack of clutter and extra decor and it’s definitely put me in the mood for the warmer months ahead!
The next stop on the tour is my sweet and talented friend Kris from Driven By Decor. I absolutely love Kris and her style and I know you will too!
Following are all of the other stops on the tour! You’re not going to want to miss any of these!

Thanks for sharing your home with us. It definitely has spring vibes. I love homes that have mainly white walls, I feel like it is easy to transition these homes each season. One of my favorite parts in your home is that the blue color is carried throughout every room, even if it is just an accent pillow. Home textiles are actually my favorite way to revamp a home. There are pillows and blankets for every season, they are usually inexpensive, and if you get tired of them you can simply recover them.

Sarah, I just love your clean, minimalistic styling. It’s so inspiring! I’m also interested in the pillows used in your craft room if you don’t mind sharing 🙂

Gasp. Sarah! I just adore your home and your style. I want to curl up in that media room with the book I’m reading. Soooooo good!!! xo

Your house is so beautiful! I really need to make an effort to declutter. We moved into a new house in August and have been renovating – I feel like we’re surrounded by items that don’t have a place yet and construction materials. Your house is such a beautiful inspiration! In my favorite colors – blue and white!
Happy Spring! – Rachel

Your home is beautiful! Can you please tell me where you purchased the bamboo blinds in the guest room & what brand & color they are? I recently purchased the same type of curtains for my bedroom & I’ve been on the hunt for some blinds to go underneath. The ones you chose are perfect!!!!!
Sarah says
Thank you so much! I’m actually not sure on the brand, but I got them at Lowe’s. They are just the basic ones they carry in stores – not a custom order 🙂
Lisa says
What colours did you use for the stripes on your walls?
Sarah says
Hi Lisa- The stripes are Behr Dolphin Fin and Behr Swiss Coffee. 🙂
Georgia says
Hi! Can you tell me where you got the curtains in the bedroom?
Sarah says
I actually made them from a pair of IKEA curtains and then added the ribbon trim myself 🙂
Georgia says
I’ve thought of doing that myself since I haven’t been able to find what I want. Thank you so much for getting back to me!
molly says
I love EVERYTHING about the bedroom. Can you tell me where you got the white comforter? I have looked online for days, and had no idea how hard it was to find one without any pattern on it! ugh….
Sarah says
Thank you! This is actually just a duvet cover – not a comforter. I hope that helps!
Amy says
Hi, interested in the name/style/brand if the chandelier in the dining room and glass lamps in the media room (old craft room) if you dont mind sharing!
