Crystorama Solaris Orb Chandelier

Room Makeovers + Design Plans

Yesterday morning, I happened to search Craigslist to see if any others out there were selling moving boxes {we have well over 100 of them that are next to new and I was hoping I could get some money out of them}. While I had CL up, I randomly searched lighting.

You will never believe it – someone was selling an orb chandelier. The Crystorama Solaris Orb Chandelier in English Bronze finish that I have seen many times on sites like Wayfair, Joss and Main, One Kings Lane, etc. They had ordered it and it was too large for the room and they were not able to return it. The cheapest I have ever seen it for is $350. They paid $450 {full retail} and I got it for $200.

It came in the box and everything. But if you follow me on Instagram, you know we had to leave the box behind just to get it home because it wouldn’t fit in the car!

I have always wanted three of these in our entryway area, but I was looking for a silver finish there. I will either spray this one to match when I ever save enough for another two, or I am contemplating leaving it as is and using it in the master to replace the fan {which only has two bulbs and is entirely too dim for the space}.

I also plan to use traditional candelabra bulbs versus the globe bulbs you see in the photo above, for a more traditional look. Where do you think I should use the light?

If you would like to follow along on more of my home decor, DIY, lifestyle, travel and other posts, I’d love to have you follow me on any of the following:
