crafty projects on deck

I have been feeling crafty lately and have a few projects on deck.

Several months back I bought a huge frame (maybe 3 feet by 4 feet) from Goodwill for $2.50 and a similar size one from TJMaxx along with some chalkboard paint.  The goal is to get a look much like these.  I was just never sure where to place the chalkboard until I saw this cute idea from The Lettered Cottage – using seasonal quotes and placing it on the mantle with your seasonal decor {that cute number plate reminds me of these}:

I also love this version from The Shabby Nest {although I am not sure I could replicate this with chalk!}:

And remember those cute floral bib necklaces I posted about last fall? I have finally found some tutorials to make my own!  Thanks heavens since I still cannot afford the gorgeous ones from miss ruby sue.  Click here for a great tutorial.  I have already made one rosette for practice and it turned out really cute!

Also up on the agenda are these adorable felt projects.  I definitely will be making the wreath and the pillow.  Both are darling!  Let’s hope I can get some of these done this upcoming weekend!
