Closet Envy

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends

I have put together a collection of closet envy pictures for inspiration!

I have a board on Pinterest called Closet Envy. And it is just that. Closets I envy. Man, there are some AMAZING closets out there! My husband and I also have a clothing issue {okay – more so me than him}.  This is our current master closet – after we were able to maximize the space in our closet as much as possible. The reality is, hubby puts most of his clothes in another room.

A crumpled closet with clothes hanging up and shoes above the clothes.A close up picture of the shirts and shoes in the closet.

The new house has a slightly more impressive closet than our current space.  However, the closet is not much larger. BUT – it has the potential to be INCREDIBLE if I can convince hubby that we need to take over the bedroom next door and make it one amazing closet. Currently, the room is the smallest of the four finished bedrooms. And keep in mind there is space in the basement for a fifth bedroom {which seems excessive} so I don’t think using one of the rooms as a closet would be anything less than perfection.

The change would simply require we make a doorway where the dresser currently stands {french doors?} and then close in the hallway access and Jack & Jill bathroom access in the room.  Nothing too extensive.

A large bedroom with a dark wood bed, dresser and door opened to the hallway.

The closet ideas are endless. These images {all from my Closet Envy Pinterest board} make me giddy.

A white closet with a white closet island and pink flowers in a clear vase on it.

Large closet with organized mens clothes and shoes.

Shoe closet with built in shelves and shoes and boots on the shelves.

Closet with marble island and chandelier.

The pretty crystal chandelier in the white closet is stunning!  I love the marble closet island to!

A walk in closet with multiple shelves, and shoes and boxes.

White closet with hardwood floors.

A dark wood closet with mens clothes.

Walk-in closet with windows and full-length mirror.

This closet mirror is exactly what I need!

White closet with chandelier and windows.

What are your thoughts? Ridiculous to lose a the fifth bedroom or a genius idea for someone who loves clothes/shoes/accessories/everything? 😉

I say go for it and make a whole room into a closet/dressing room. You have plenty of space to be able to do it!
